That filter would be high on my list to replace with a serviceable separator / filter. The Racor filter mounts are robust enough that I suspect bolting through one hole would be more than adequate assuming the spacing doesn't match up.

It's not my tractor and I'm not paying for parts but I still thought it was disrespectful of Branson to not include a large vial of Vaseline and Sil Glyde (because the Vaseline alone just ain't adequate)

Also a shot of the cable in question which is indeed accelerator. In this pic I have the filter slid out a bit on the studs so an actual human can reach the bleed valve on top. And I did position the spring clamps such that the ears wouldn't chafe the accelerator cable housing
