I don't know the brand of cement mixer, bought it from a company back in the mid 90's (Farm & Family?) now out of business.

I need a new seal for the dump cylinder, single acting cylinder, 1.75" in diameter, about 18" long has a stamped part number on it B-2-3-SAI07514.

Any suggestions?

edited to change SAIC to SAI0, apparently there is a SAI hydraulic cylinder company...

You can get the rod seal and the piston seal at a hyd supply shop. I use Hercules
Hydraulic online. Take out and measure them first.

If your mixer is like mine (Italian-made Mixer80), it has a low quality cylinder and
easily-bent rod. BTDT

Now you tell me about mixer 80, I just ordered a Cosmo BM 80 350, which is a 1/2 yard mixer...

I'll try Hercules for the seal part.

Yes I knew about the Agri supply parts, however what I have, which I bought 20 years ago is not the model they are currently selling.

And I bought the Cosmo 80 350 from everythingattachments.com and they get an A+ and 5 stars for service in the ordering department, saved me $90.00 on shipping by suggesting to ship to the terminal.

My older Mixer80 looks identical to the Cosmo 8cf mixer. That 12cf mixer is a bigger newer product.
It looks like the lower part of the drum is bigger, but the other parts may be the same.

My experience using my mixer numerous times over the past 15+ years is that the cyl it comes
with is not only wimpy and easy to bend, but it should also be double-acting as gravity is not
always enough to get it to go down.

I converted my cyl to DA first, then went hydraulic drive, and loader-mounted.

Hello I have purchased an older 3pt mixer. The hydraulic cyclinder was missing. Could you please send myself the dual action hydraulic cyclinder numbers or specs or company where to purchase a hydraulic cylinders

Im desperate to use this mixer. For I live in the mountains and it's freezes up here.

Thank you Sir and have a great day

Get a new cylinder from surplus center.com. there going to. E the cheapest around. But I would also check amazon.

If I wanted to use any mixer on the 3-point, I would adapt it to the hydraulic toplink you might already have.

A hydraulic toplink for use with other tractor attachments (esp. a box blade) is one of those must-haves IMO. And the SA cylinder that comes with the mixers is awful.

I buy spare new hyd cylinders from Surplus Center when they are on sale.

i have the earlier (apparently smaller mixer) that I bought from an individual, who had never used it. The cylinder would not extend and finally had to pull it anchored with the tractor. It extended but there was a huge burr that gouged the rod, now junk. Ordered a replacement from SURPLUS CENTER current part# 9-12229-16, which comes with 3/4" ball ends, 1" rod, 2" tube and 16" travel. Ordered hose and ends at same time.

That one looks WAY better.

See this thread for my hydraulic drive conversion for the mixer.

(still having issues with paragraphs)

Biggest plus with hydro drive is can spin drum while dumping.

Sorry to get so far off track from azrancher's original request for cylinder seals, but there seems to be the interest. With the hydraulic dump, I believe you will need a flow restrictor on that hose. TSC has 1/2" and 3/8" restrictors part# 125678399/299 that I have used for many applications.
