Tractor
TYM T330
My joystick is sticky and despite lubing it it continues to have issues. My tractor guy, who is awesome, is learning a lot about TYM by working on my tractor but both of us are having trouble finding schematics or information about the loader joystick. If it needs to be repaired or replaced it would be useful to have a parts number list or a schematic.
The closest dealer to me is about 3 hours away and he is having the same issue. In fact, he first thought that there was no such thing as a TL 100 loader -until I sent him a copy of the cover of the manual.šŸ˜‚

People on this forum have been so helpful to me over the last 20 years and I really appreciate any input you might have. Love my TYM!

At that time, I think they were using Nimco hydraulic valves. Is the valve mounted to the loader frame, or on the tractor? Typically, TYM shows the FEL Valve in the tractor parts manual if it is attached to the tractor. Or in the Loader Manual if mounted on the loader.

Just guessing but the difference between your TL100 loader, and my TL200 loader may just be where the controls are. On the TL200 which came with my T233 of the same era, the controls are cable actuated with the joystick mounted in the right fender, and the valve located just below the floor, right behind the firewall location.

You can buy Chiwanese loader valves off eBay or Amazon pretty inexpensively. I did a quick eBay search last night and was finding two-spool loader valves with one handle, and a couple of three-spool two handle, which would give you a true third function with a bit of plumbing. They are really inexpensive. With the ones in the US, and thus no tariff charges to you getting them here from Chiwan, being a bit more expensive. Just set the search filter location for USA only.

Edit to add: If you buy one of the Chiwanese valves, and have somewhere to store one, buy two so you have a spare. You never know for sure how easy it will be to get repair parts for the chiwanese stuff. If you have a spare valve, you probably won't ever need it. But, swapping one out is a pretty painless endeavor.

Often, when cold weather approaches and things get sticky, it’s because there’s water somewhere freezing.

Is there a way for water to get into the joy stick, or cables if applicable? A torn boot?

In my case, it was the loader valve itself. Most loader valves have 2 removable ā€œcupsā€ over the springs that returns the valves’ position to center. Mine was made in Brazil and most of been filled with humid jungle air that froze when it hits a North American winter. There was a few ounces of water condensation in them when removed. I was tempted to drill some weep holes in the cups, but I reserved the right to get my tractor stuck up to the axles without them filling back up.
