I would be very surprised if that is an American thread 45 degree flare in hydraulic application. That style fitting is usually water or gas line. Do you have a 90 degree square that you can put over the end of the male fitting to see if the angle matches?

My 2400H does not have any connection between the HST control and throttle. I typically run 1700 - 2100 RPM depending on what type of loader work I am doing. Tight quarters work like cleaning neighbors barn run lower RPM. Outside moving dirt run higher RPM.

Adding HP won’t make the loader lift anymore weight. With that size and weight of tractor you would probably notice the ponies doing PTO work but doubt would benefit for ground engagement type work.

If you can rigidly clamp the keyed hub in your drill press and control bit feed rate you might be able to drill the coupling if it is not hardened. I would still be concerned with the bit chatter and or catching and trying to screw itself into the coupling.

The picture looks like a D03 subplate mounted valve which is fairly common for a 3rd function valve in power beyond circuit. No clue on quality of components but the concept is proven and should work.

Does the new replacement loader valve have power beyond function active. Some valves require a special sleeve type fitting others require installing a plug. Without this feature your 3 point won’t work.

On Our 5000 Ford the PTO brake wore so that it was always spinning when engine was running but hook up an implement and it stopped. Like others asked is this what is happening on yours?

If loctite warming the connection may help soften the loctite. 200 - 250 degrees F should soften most loctite varieties. That temp shouldn’t hurt the oil either. Just don’t be stupid like me and get it broke loose and then grab it to spin it off by hand 🤬

Manual I have for mower says it is an MB60A. Note this requires a mounting kit that includes brackets that bolt to front on tractor, side rails under floor board and arms that hook on lower 3 point. I suspect from your diagnostic work that the spring in the half on lower circuit connected to the valve is weak but To be safe I would replace both since if one half is failing the other may not be far behind.

Valve clearance check should be a relatively easy and low cost item to do on the basis of your engine has manual adjustment for clearance. Not unheard of for a valve to expand and start causing compression loss as the engine warms up. Next would be a compression test.

Do you know if the $2500 included checking the wheel motors? If not I would ask Terry about that since a pump going bad frequently sends debris out to the motors also. Wish you the best on your decision going forward.

I believe most of the PTO mounted pumps have a speed increaser built into them today. This converts the 540 RPM to some higher rpm so can use a smaller displacement pump. I think Comer also makes a PTO increaser gear box.
