    Part D prescription plan

Turns out my (Medica) part D is going up $20/mo. I think the legislating limiting max out of pocket t $2,000 has a lot to do with it. My agent said I should ask my pharmacy to run a Part D Prescription Drug Cost Calculator for me. It will show my total drug and premium costs for all kinds of...

Anyone use semi chisel saw chain.

I love chisel chains. Most of my chainsaw work anymore is making/maintaining trails. Lots of cutting off stumps at ground level. I've always "heard" how bad chisel chains are in dirty wood, but honestly, they don't seem any worse than semi chisel chains. Dirty wood does dull chains, but when...

What Attachment Scares You The Most?

Tangled up in PTO. Our neighbor was trying to clear out a baler when his shirtsleeve got caught in the PTO and sucked him in. He was lucky because it stripped him naked. He was black and blue on every inch of his body. Never work around a rotating PTO.

If you see a Pony Grader for sale - Buy It!

It looks like it has a 12V (snowplow) hydraulic pump with a single acting cylinder that pushes that trailing axle up or down to adjust depth of cut. Angle adjusts like a rear blade. I can't see how they adjust tilt. They list the price at $1,500

Crystal radio receivers are a very simple kind of batteryless radio receiver. They do not need a battery or power source, except for the power that they receive from radio waves using their long outdoor wire antenna. Sharp Electronics' first electrical product was a batteryless crystal radio...

Nope! I hate Advantage plans. They siphon $$ off medicare to line the pockets of insurance companies. It is a plain Medicare supplement (Medigap) and drug plan D. It is NOT an Advantage plan. Their customer support has been excellent but seldom needed. They sent us a mailer telling us...

A few years back, my son bought a home with an unfinished 3 season room. The build quality is mediocre, but we want to finish off the exterior with matching vinyl siding. I have decent carpentry skills, but I have never done vinyl siding. I know we have to put a Tyvek type house wrap on...

Small (tiny) combine - pull type - for grains?

We had a John Deere 25 or 30 pull type combine. it wasn't very big and did a good job. All I remember doing for maintenance was greasing and replacing the occasional mower section. I don't think there would be much for maintenance other than (standard) belts or bearings.

What class of tractor for maintaining two miles of road at higher elevation?

Nope. You might get lucky, but I think it's more likely that you end up with a real nice tractor with more hours (3,000 or more). In my opinion, larger horsepower tractors don't have high hours until after 7,000 (4,000 for a CUT). I hope you find one with less than 500 hours in your price...
