I have a Yanmar also the same JD. US. model. Org. a Rice patty tractor so being used in water is what it was designed for. My Exhuaust is Vert. and any water would get blown out of the muffler. My guess not a doubt he drove it off.

The only way water could get into the Eng. is through the Intake. How deep did it sink? Try to start it up with the Air cleaner under water? That would be a good one!!

Electrical parts either work or go bad and don't. For it to start and if the battery had a full charge on it and dead the next morning is normal for a bad battery. Cold and winter for that to happen is typical. Check the Battery is good before you try to start it.

Does the Battery have 12V. showing. Still doesn't say it's good but you know you have good power. Then check all the connections to it. + /- I'm guessing ground to the battery or were the cable connects to the frame if you show good voltage. Connections to the starter etc...

I don't have that Part # either! The 165 Hyd. pump matches that gear drive. And they are saying that's what it's for. Not going to be a hard part to come across.

Why I keep Two tractors. Small Yanmar is mostly just used with a FM. mower. A old ford for the heavy lifting and pulling. It would handle that task with ease!

For you to loose all fuel pressure sounds like a broken clogged fuel line before the Inj. Pump. May want to run a direct new Fuel line straight from the Tank to the pump. Your going to have to bleed the pump. If it runs you can almost rule out the Injection pump itself. and go back through it...

Checked the Water Pump Part number and it came up real close. Repl. 121000-42100 and came up with Repl.121023-42100 which several tractors use it. WP-4201 is the Fredricks water pump # for it.

The lift height is what I noticed. Pic.4 my guess is the forks are around 10' then another 8' lift section. That could come in real handy also. Esp. with a pallet type deck to work on.

I have had my Hi. Lo. range shift lever in between gears. It didn't actually lock in unknowing it! NTM. And If I recall prevented any forward or Rev. movement. :unsure:

Pull the line coming out of the valve. Loosen the clamp at the word open in the Pic.. Pull the hose and watch for the fuel to pour out of the filter. If it does then turn it off and bleed the lines. Then you know for sure if your getting fuel to the pump and bleed it again also.

My work light is wired to the fuse box. Positive to the Ign. key Switch. Brn. wire 5A . Then ground it to the frame.

The forward could be in stuck in gear. When you shift the rear lever into gear the PTO should turn. At least you may be able to get parts for it. And they refurbished that model so no doubt they know them well. My guess is the 2500 and 3000 use the same PTO parts. Very normal in most cases.

The male side of the Axle shaft will be held straight and tight from the Bearing and the Gear. My guess. It looks repairable but personally I wouldn't worry to much about it. The 1500D is only 1433 Lbs... the whole tractor. FEL. pressure on it maybe a problem on that little tractor. No mention?
