Had a little woopsie today. A heavy branch came up and busted what I think is the oil pressure sender. From the photos below, am I correct that that is the part? I think it is part number 124060-39451. Thanks

Not showing that number just OP-39450. Repl.121252-39450 124160-39450 BUt! This has came up before.

The palmer power has a different number but the one from Walmart lists the number in my manual as well as the one from palmer.....could either work?

The good news is it's generic for Japanese cars of the 70's.

Note British Standard Thread, not Metric or SAE.

I took it to Autozone and the counter guy matched it by eye.

It's probably fits a Datsun 110 same one!

Am I ok to operate the tractor until I get my new one installed?

Elec. so just watch for it to leak. No oil leaks but you know your Trouble light is not working. Dash light/Lights may come on. If it does turn the Ing. switch off and watch for it to go out. But your Alt. won't be charging so leave it running enough to recharge the battery.

Ok, thanks. It ran fine yesterday after I noticed it dangling after the limb got it

Check the fluids levels, clean the air filter and the radiator. Those would raise the temps.
Ensure the engine vent tube is CLEAR. Then the pressure wouldn't build up so rapidly.

From there use the machine carefully, no high RPMs, only low to medium to be safe.

Do you have the part on order?

Huh? This is the oil pressure sensor. Not related to overheating.

I found it un-nerving to drive back to the barn with the oil warning light glowing even though I knew I had ripped the sensor off like Millard did. Aside from that anxiety there is no harmful effect from running with it broken so long as you aren't losing oil there.

The replacement I got at Autozone was specified for some 20 years of Subaru models plus various Datsun, Toyota, Mazda, Mitsubishi, etc etc.

Screw or blade wire attachment is the only thing to watch for. If it looks about right and the right threads, then you've found the correct one. Yanmar used a lot of stuff also supplied to Datsun by the outside manufacturer - everything electrical, radiator cap, etc, for the Yanmars of the 70's.
