New metal roof leaking, need advice.

I had a new metal roof put on my barn in the spring. I have not had any issues until today when I went into the shop and found that it was leaking real bad. The other part of the barn has leaks as well.

I have a Gambrel roof with a lean-to roof off the back for my shop. I had two sky lights in the shop which always leaked, so I had them removed. Well, that's where the leaks in the shop are now. The leaks in the main barn are in several places.

I am asking because we just got about a 1/4" to a 1/2" of ice which coated everything. It warmed and rained pretty good the next day and melted all the ice. Now I know about typical ice damns, but could this have done it as well? I do not heat the barn, and I never have icicles. There was no snow on the roof, just an even coating of Ice.

I just want some advice before I say something to my roofer I might regret.

Why say anything bad about the roofer? Call them up and say my roof you installed looks like it’s leaking. Can you come by and check it out?
Get it diagnosed before trying to lay blame

It's going to be hard to understand what you haver and what is going on without pictures. There are so many variables to understand with such a short description. I don't know if you have decking or just purlins.

I know you know how to post pictures.

Ok, now where on the underside do you see it leaking?

Looks about right to me. Its fine to go over shingles with furring strips 24" on center. Not too sure about the transition on the lower angle/pitch change, but I have never done a roof like that.

Would help to see the finished roof and the areas you see leaking.

It did not leak before the ice, but my question is, has anyone had experience with a metal roof leaking after an ice storm? I don't see a place for water to build up, but what do I know.

I would bet there's an ice backup where the two panel sections come together.
