Loader boom cylinders uneven

Folks - I was taking my loader (LA 352) off my B2410 today (to put on the snowblower) and noticed that the boom cylinders were uneven. That is, the clutch side boom cylinder was pushed out more than the left. It was very difficult to remove the loader, also - one side came off and the other didn't, until I horsed around with it quite a bit. Nothing leaking. No accidents or problems up until today.

Could anyone point me to how I go about diagnosing and (hopefully at home) repairing? Much appreciated -

Sounds to me like the gland nut threads are stripped, then the hyd. oil got out of balance in the cylinder.

The cylinders are self equalizing, the mounting brackets/loader assembly are what keep them even.

I assume this issue was before the loader was removed.

If so, its possible the mounting brackets have shifted, also possible the frame has been tweaked. Brackets would be my.first guess though.

You can reset them my parking on a hard flat surface (preferably flat concrete) and with the loader mounted and bucket grounded, lossen the mounting bracket bolts then re-torque them to specs.
You may have to move the bucket a little while the bolts are lose to shift things around.

In addition to what @TMGT states, it's possible to damage the crossover tube between the loader arms. Similar symptoms will result, and the damage is not always obvious.

Is possible, although unless its completely closed off, they will equalize, just slower.

I am referring to the structural tube that connects the two loader arms. If ever so slightly twisted or bent, it can show in the cylinders being at different lengths. It usually also presents with an uneven bucket while on flat ground.

This is a very common issue and a very easy fix. I had it happen to me once when a stick hit my QA lever and unlocked it and allowed one side of my grapple to fall off causing it to be misaligned.

There are two ways to easily do it, either with a block inside of the hinge point, or placing one of the arms against a tree. Check out this video.

I assumed he was talking about boom or loader arm cyclinders and not bucket cylinders or curl cylinders. sounds like the loader frame is twisted or like what was mentioned before somehow the mounting brackets are twisted or loose.

If it's the actual boom, then you're probably right in being a twisted loader.

The torque tube is welded between the boom arms to keep them parallel.... yours is sprung.
