Looking for a tractor 40-60 HP.

Time to buy a second tractor. Looking at a new Kubota MX 5400HST or a Kioti NS5601.Shuttle. May still look for low hour used. Question. I trust Kubota as I now have L7060 and love it. I was looking at Case/Farmall and was told by a Case dealer that I needed to keep in mind that Case does not make the smaller Farmall line LS does. LS also makes medium range New Holland. Am I wrong not to trust LS. Looks like an old Ford. and from what I can gather has quality issues and is not very reliable. Thoughts and opinions most welcome. Had Massey in the past with mixed results.

CaseIH and New Holland are the same thing, LS is the OEM for CaseNH.

Kubota is my pick if you already are happy with Kubota.

The best I can figure is you maybe have an L 5060? Or a M 7060 (they just released, or are in the process of a new L6070)

Kioti makes a NS5610 ... Not a NS5601 ...

Curious on why the new tractor would be a MX size? Not a M if you have a Grand L already?

Yes, a MX has a stronger hydraulic lift capacity than an L, but the two are very similar in sizes ... The M is a true utility tractor, if that's what your wanting ...

What are your plans for this new tractor, is it for a different location?

my 1st thoughts too. anything less than M utility would be redundant
i once owned MX5000...the MX can't come close to holding a candle to the Utility series, no comparison. purchase wisely, the MX is a compact tractor.

Tractor would be used with the loader, horse manure, gravel (But not often), dirt (again not often) odd lifting jobs. Ted hay, rake hay. I use the M7060 to run the small baler. Second cut brush hog work with 8 footer. Use the M7060 for the heavy brush hog work. three foot+ tall first time in pasture. Push snow when needed. Empty manure spreader. I have looked seriously at 60HP Massey. Very good interest rates.

I have a small LS tractor and comparing it to one I traded in on it, which I thought was well engineered and built, I was impressed with the design considerations, creature comforts, and workmanship of my LS. Bought it in Jan. '21 so I have had it long enough to see what it's worth. I'd have the brand at the top of my shopping list! They seem to have smaller dealerships but I don't need dealerships as nothing breaks!

Just because one has a large dealership doesn't necessarily mean it's good for you. In buying my first new tractor after retiring in 2005, I shopped the big guys too and they had nice service shops and all that which were full and the "to be repaired lot" was full.........

I bought an off breed (then) from a small dealer and I got faster service that I figured I'd get from the large dealer......nothing required a trip to the dealer!!!!!
