Yes that is what google says. Handblown bulb over a carbon filament > originally a 60w bulb
Station 6 in Livermore CA
I think I have to credit 60 Minutes with my knowledge of that.

I haven't actually bought yet but ordered and put a deposit on a bunch of parts and machine work for a small block Chevy 350 that we are turning into a 383. So, a new crank new rods, new Pistons, course cleaning and magnafluxing the block, decking the block to 9 inches, new bearings, new flex plate.

That's all the stuff that we're getting from the machine shop. We will also be getting new roller cam, lifters, push rods, aluminum heads with roller rockers, intake manifold & carb, and miscellaneous other ancillary stuff. I'd love to put headers on, but I am quite certain they would not fit. At least not without modifying the frame rails, and I'm not going to do that.

This will be replacing the bone stock 305 in my wife's 1955 Dodge C3 pick up truck*. I'm thinking we will need to replace the 215 rear tires with something a little more meaty, but my son thinks that it will be "safer" to do a burnout, than launch into space.

*Yes, I know that to some people that is sacrilegious. Let's make it even more so – it has a Ford 9 inch rear end. Yes, it should have a 5.7 hemi, but I'm not sure that it would even fit. The small block Chevy with stock manifolds barely fits between the frame rails.

Nope, I can see those are way too wide. The stock manifolds only come out less than 2".

I did see a set where the tubes go straight back before going down. Those might work, but still very questionable. Because this is a non-stock application, the pinch point is about at the bottom of the ports. It's already going to have way more power than we need, I would only be doing it for the looks.

Nice truck, it's even got "Live free or die" plates.

There a fellow in Texas I talk with occasionally who has a mid-'70s AMC Hornet with a 1979 J.C.Penny battery. The battery he said is now a conversation piece. For 46 years it still starts and runs fine.
Batteries are really strange.
Sort of like the light bulb that was turned on in 1901 in Livermore Ca. Still working for 124 years.View attachment 4117518
Putting out 5 watts

Put order and deposit in on a new Chevy 3500 Duramax crew cab 6' bed, basically a work truck with a few functional option packages I'll utilize. Biggest thing was more room for growing kids, or don't let your significant other look at let alone sit in your friends new crew cab for any length of time. Lol 10-12 week build time. I guess if you can't find a so called unicorn have the manufacturer build it. Wife asked the sales guy if I could get leather seats at my trim level 😂 😂 My old GMC double cab Duramax 3/4 ton was and still is a Great truck for almost 10 yrs that sold me on diesel powered full size trucks. Previously before I bought my Sierra, owned, drove, and praised, Toyota Tacomas since the 1990s

Is that lakeside blue? Nice color to go with a very nice truck.
Correction GMC calls it down pour metallic I guess Chevy calls it lakeside blue. Definitely a great looking truck.

thanks, it's VERY nice! a lot fancier than I was after, but the more "work trucks" I was pricing were almost as much, and had to be ordered
and my wife said, for once get something new and nice.

I did the opposite my wife wanted me to get a upgraded trim level, there's a few "reasonably' priced 25s )left out there with options I'd never use or want or the only color truck I'd never get, white, I protested a lot cuz I'm super stubborn at times got rather happily stuck ordering a pretty basic work truck trim level with a few functional options. Problaby keep for at least another 10 yrs if its like my 2016 sierra . Hilarious thing to me anyway was I had two choices cloth or vinyl seats my wife asked the salesman if I could upgrade to leather 😂 . The Duramax engine was one of the few upgrades I wanted and it was pricey.

The only time i ordered a truck other than white was a black F250.

What a mistake. Never looked clean.

Since then, every rig has been white. They always look clean. Always. Even on my dirt roads.
I agree. Plus they are cooler in the Texas heat. And 1 paint pen covers all three.
