MF or my dealer may be aware of the clip problem. My brand new mower has the clips on the inside.

I think I had mine on the inside when it yanked out. But then again I was using my mower deck like a brush hog.

Well, I'm getting better at this... After using the FEL and BH to handle firewood logs, I --once again-- went through the conversion from TLB to lawn mower and hit our lawn yesterday. Now taking me only about 15 minutes to drop off the BH and the FEL (I leave the MMM on all the time in the summer).

Still like to stand back and look at the result -- that LRB/MMM sure does do a nice job.

Over the past few weeks have gone through several iterations of my tool storage issues and think that I have it dialed in. Also got my winch mounted.

Attached some metal channel framing (strut), AKA Unistrut or Superstrut, to the ROPS with some long U-bolts that I got from the Bolt Depot. Then built a wooden tray and mounted it to the strut with angle braces.
IMG_7210.JPG

Next I got my winch attached to the top of the 3 point trailer hitch.
IMG_7212.JPG

The wireless controller of the winch is mounted under the tool tray. I used Anderson connectors to be able to disconnect the winch from the controller.
IMG_7211.JPG

Next I mounted a strut crossmember to the vertical strut and then attached an ammo can to use as a tool box to the strut. It fits nicely behind the seat and is easily accessible.

2021 GC1725MB temp gauge going wild, top and bottom hoses different pressures and temps.
ok replaced t-stat (old one gummed up, cleaned up for spare dropped new one in) and now fluid all flowing right.
t-stat part # 3704299M1 68$ from warrenton equipment.
BUT....gauge still acting wild.
engine off for hours, ambient temp 75 and engine, coolant, etc running 80-85F no matter where I checked.
turn key on gauge goes up half way drops down shoots back up to halfway.
unplug dash (have to in order to ohm sensor with wire attached) and at 85F ohmed 350-400ohm swinging back and forth. should be 600+.
ran engine good amount to warm up. coolant running approx 140F all parts of engine running 145-155F.
gauge full red.
ordered new sensor.
this uses the newer style with nut on wire vs push on wire. part # 7080879M1 87$ from warrenton equipment. free shipping (was fast shipping) on both parts to Maine.

I've got the mower deck on and just mowing 2 yards these days, FEL and BH are off. Too dang hot to do much else!
I'm learning this thing mows really well, and rides rough due to this cheap ass seat.

Added some metal channel framing to the side of my forks so that there is something to attach the ratchet strap to. The straps help keep the logs in place where they are being moved from the lower field to the pile near the house.

Dave,
Appreciate the information. If I cant find a ground issue, will look at sensors. But, I will check the connection on the sensor while checking the other ground.
Thanks,

Well, haven't done anything yet, but it looks like I'm going to have to change another hydraulic line. Replaced one of them that go from the joystick back to the rear quite a few years ago, and now I have another (the "return loop" when BH is off) that's leaking. Glad I have shops nearby that can fabricate lines....

Well, as it turns out, that wasn't an original hose -- it was one of the two or three that failed when the tractor was still fairly new. Bought my GC in early 2008 and I had apparently replaced that one in May of 2011. I guess 14 years isn't too bad...?

I was, however, surprised at the price! Seems like the last ones I changed -- maybe 8+ years ago?-- cost around $50 or so; this one was a tad over $100. Had it made up at a local O'Reilly's, so at least it was available quickly.

Try @kennyd (of BoltOn hooks fame) for hoses. He'll make them for you IF you know exactly what you need.

Why is the backhoe mount on the right side of your photo different from the left?

Not sure what you mean, but it could just be the %$# camera I use stretching the image on the sides. (The old camera I had worked quite well, but eventually the storage-to-card circuitry died. This one I bought to replace it really doesn't work as well for me.)

another one serviced and being hauled up road to owner.

another 1.jpg

1 deere d105 lawn tractor with shredded transmission drive belt fixed and serviced and delivered in this manner monday.

1 gc1725 with temp sensor and thermostat issues fixed and delivered tuesday.

1 deere x530 lawn tractor (nice unit, power steering diff lock (2wd) etc) had deck serviced and leak on hydraulic reservoir (orings) corrected and delivered today.

since only 1/4 mile or so to each customer just as easy to go for ride with tractor and trailer vs hooking trailer to truck.

now MAYBE I can finally clean and service my tractor and deck :)

This is my research and synopsis for the hydraulic oil level. All comments and experiences you've had are welcomed. (((Sorry so shaky)))

mower deck may be preventing full lowering. even few inches makes difference, fluid can fill glass fast. looks to me your arms almost 3inches high but may just be camera angles.
this can be your best friend
you would not lose that much attach/detach, I do keep mine touch over (approx 3/4 sight glass) as my fel goes on and off many times a week.
manual says 1/2 way on glass engine off cylinders collapsed and 3pt down on level ground. that does not mean level tractor just level ground.
put it there and drive on.

Yes, ideally it's in the center of the sight glass.

However, after owning one of these since they first made them, the oil level in the transmission is not critical. They would have put a dipstick on it, if it was.

There is plenty of oil in there, even if it's below the sight glass, and enough room to handle it, if it's slightly over.
