Using snow blade with rubber edge

I use a yellow edge on my rear blade. It doesn’t scrape as well as metal but is much gentler than the steel edge. I use my FEL as a plow and scoop also. Sometimes using float will unload the front tires but most of the time I use it. Do you have any weight on the back.

On your steep part you’d be surprised how much help just a little sand is.

I mostly plow in float mode I use a rubber edge on my rear blade I really think it is not needed though I see plenty of blacktop and concrete driveways plowed with metal edge that look just fine. I have a front push blade on the loader and use both in my situation rear blade is mostly for pulling snow away from buildings.

I do have quite a bit of weight on the back in a Heavy Hitch rack. What's a yellow edge?

the UHMW is Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene

Polyethylene and polyurethane of all types come in a variety of colors. The color is not a defining attribute.

How would a round piece of scrap steel pipe work? I made one of those up on the advice of a plow installer after the Son in laws new truck blade rearranged my crushed stone drive when it wasn’t frozen fully. I just cut a piece of 1.5” steel pipe like a hot doe bun spread it and welded on a few tabs. It worked so good I made another for my tractor bucket. It makes. It makes. Real difference and it doesn’t seem to scrape up the blacktop up excessively. The issue lies that it won’t scrape it fully clean which is something I don’t really care about as digging in.
