Good evening all. 56ºF for the start, overcast with some drizzle, and light wind. Light wind, sky remained overcast, and high temp was 61ºF. Putter to start day, then bike ride, the shower/lunch. Trip to town to run errand found out stepdaughter already on bank account. Got haircut, tried to buy digital camera per granddaughter's request but no luck at Wallyworld. I think I can borrow one, and replace the LCD screen in mine which finally died. Then spent time at funeral home, we wanted to run obit in local paper, St Louis, and Wichita. To run obit in both papers with pic would have been over 5K. Gal help me then remark and they don't even give you a kiss. Taking pic out and careful choice of options will be about 1.2K:mad::eek: Made it home and took a nap. Looking at what I have left to do, man I really really want it to go better.

good morning all
71 in Delray Beach, going up to 80 today, nice day.
back on the road again, headed for Fort Meyers, not going to take alligator alley, done that before, will take 98/27/80 instead

pretty sore this morning, yesterday's walk was hard on my back.
have to clean and pack this morning, then take truck back to friend's, she will drive me back here and off I go.

David, 7 inches of rain would wash most of us away. Hope your power gets its brain back.

Mostly, glad you are doing ok. Doing just ok is just fine now...
you don't know how but it gets better.

before I left to go over to friend's home yesterday, I hung the septic hoses out back to dry out on the e bike. And forgot to bring them in.
Sure hope they are still there. Good hoses, not cheap. Hopefully no one coveted my nice hoses...I'd sure have to immediately go buy some more and they would not be the HD reinforced ones like I have.
usually these private parks are very controlled and safe; the same owners have been here 50 years and their rules are very tight, which is good. It's who wanders in off the street at night I worry about.

Saturday morning, forgot what day it was, hope you all have a good weekend.

went to Boca inlet yesterday, drone would not go up higher than ten feet. said I was missing internet. Need to figure that out.
Alligator Alley is ok, if you need to get from Ocean to Gulf fast. We always preferred Tamiami Trail, even though it is slower and very few opportunities to pass slow mobile homes 😂🤣😂

I have always wonder the same thing. My mother's sister was married but she died a week before I was born. Would her husband be my uncle? Would they only be considered married "till death do you part". He remarried so now do I have a step Aunt or does my aunt's death cancel the uncle relationship since they were not married when I was born?

I guess the best place to look is at state laws when a person dies without a will to see if the relationship survives death.
This is how lawyers get rich. . .

Good Morning

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

47.1F going to mid 60’s, sunny day forecasted. A little bit of precip overnight — just enough to get things wet and leaves outlines of dry spots under the vehicles.

successful day running around, picked up a pair of tongs to go with the anvil at an antique store. I have to build a fire pot to make a little forge and start making things. Finally got around to blowing leaves, should only have 2-3 more session of that task to come…

Today is more house projects, then Crystal Gale concert tonight at Performing Arts Center.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Good morning, the low is 37 and it is going to 48°F. Wind S 11 mph.
Mostly cloudy.

When I got up this morning the temp inside was 77°F. Lots of large coals in the stove, to the point that I didn't need to restart the fire. Just throw in more wood.

When I got home in early October there were enough flies in this place, I swear I was in a horse barn except no horsey smell. Junior was leaving the windows open ALL day long. I put a stop to that and hung those fly paper strips up. That got rid of some, but not all. Also put up a couple of traps baited with maple syrup. I can't use chemical warfare on them because of the cats and dog. We have a 50# bag of D-earth and set up a couple of dishes of that with MS for bait. The population was going down slowly, then I found a recipe on the net that uses a half cup of water + a half cup of isopropanol alcohol (rubbing alcohol) + a tablespoon of cheap dish soap (I use Dawn). Put the water and alcohol into a spray bottle and put the soap in last. You see flies, give them a squirt of that mixture and they don't die on contact, but they die soon after.
I also have a food grade electric bug zapper in the kitchen, near the kitchen window and an outdoor zapper in the livingroom. They both run 24/7/365. If anyone knows of another fly eradicating system that works and is pet friendly and cheap, I am all ears.

I've got nothing to do today except chase flies,so I might as well 'medicate' my knee.

Have a safe day all
Bill, we used the vacuum. Can grab them right out of the air.

Bill, we used the vacuum. Can grab them right out of the air.
Fly situation under control, more or less. One squirt of the alcohol/water/soap mixture and their wings don't work anymore. They slowly die, so I do the humane thing and when they are reduced to walking I swat them and vacuum up the bodies once a day.

53 outside right now, heading to upper 50's. Looks cold outside, nice breeze. Woke up to rain on the roof earlier in the morning, then just laid there for a few more hours....here I am. Peeking outside now, nice and dry. Not good.

Wife got our custom counter top for the bathroom yesterday, I'd say over 100 pounds worth. LOL Yeah, back feeling it. No complaints allowed though since the wife and daughter have enough rods, cages and screws in them to build the Arnold like Terminator cyborg. Sometime you'd like to complain, but well....I'll just whine here. The other sinks still are not ready. Obviously the sales guy was a sweet talker. Yeah...they better be pristine when they show up.

Today I think we will venture out to collect more firewood. And that's about it. Although the frig looks to be light on dinner. LOL. Maybe I will treat myself to something other than chicken or fish. LOL.

Hope all have a great weekend, Be safe. Hope whatever you get into today, works out for the positive.
