Ken I hope that got you a big good job honey.
and Dad you're the man.

risked catastrophe in my nice clothes, decided to check engine oil. Had to get flash light to find the hole once dipstick pulled out. oil full to max button so all is well there. Good to know it's not an oil burner

waiting on friends to pick me up. Figured awning needed drying out and rolled it out, yes water dripping out all over. Now dried, will pull it most of the way in. Not supposed to be high wind today but not hard to bend these things when all the way out. It went out strangely, one side really dipped down. Going to watch it carefully going back in.

Good Morning! 54˚F overcast, chance of rain 10-30% today, North breeze, high today 60˚.

PT later today. One of the test she had me preform was going from a sitting position to a stand up position without using hands. She timed me as I did 5 stand ups and sit downs. My time was 11 seconds. At the end of PT I get tested again to see improvement and I really don't think it's possible to get much faster.

How fast can you do 5 stand ups and sit downs from a sitting position (no hands)?
Hey, Don, Sounds like you’re doing great! How is the pain these days?

Wow! I recall, a few years ago, I was in Midland/Odessa,Texas on business. Woke up with a very low tire. Had spotted a Discount Tire store close to the Hotel so drove straight there. They had my flat fixed and I was leaving their parking lot before I could drink a cup of coffee.

Things are different nowadays.
Things are different when 2 million escapees from California move to Central Texas to the fastest growing town in America.
Growing pains - which I have addressed to their corporate office by my suggestions how to make it better.

Looks like it will be another nice day here although the air quality is poor. People here blame the coal fired power plants in Ohio.

Yesterday I hauled logs at the farm. It was a very satisfying afternoon. I think it must have been in the sixties. I was working in shirt sleeves. Man, those ash logs are heavy. I think I will go back this afternoon and haul some more. I have to remember that the highway is closed. A truck hauling an excavator hit one of the bridges. Penndot is dismantling the bridge so it will be ready to rebuild in the spring.

I have been dealing with leaves. Dusty work. It is dry here. We need a little rain or whatever they planted at the farm won't germinate.

Finally got my 5th. covid shot Tuesday. Dr. Paul Offit says 3 shot should be enough to protect you from severe disease. Daughter number 2 tested positive last Sunday. A good excuse to work from home except she likes to work in the office.

Take care.

Chris

Hey, Don, Sounds like you’re doing great! How is the pain these days?
I'm using less and less pain pills - refills last for 4 days (at full dossage) but each refill I'm making last 3 days more than the last. Wednesday night I had to use more than my self limiting number because the "Sister of Igor" really pushed me to my limits.

Good morning! 59˚F, heading to the mid 70s, S breeze turning to North this evening, mostly clear skies.
Went to the estate house to get it ready to sell to my cousin. We still need to make numerous trips to goodwill. I found my old metal detector and googled Garret metal detector parts and the first part was the one I needed. Should be able to test it next week.

Went to Giddings yesterday and paid the estate property taxes. When we got to the house I noticed the gate was open and the surveyor was there. Progress toward closing.

I still have my trailer to sell and might have to get Kyle or his son to sell it on commission if they want to tackle the job.
Kyle There are about 100 canning jars I'm going to take to the glass recycle unless you want them. Also my nephew has 2 boxes of old hand drills left of the 5 he started out with. One drill is a two speed like I sent Kilroy.

Got to hustle PT this morning.

From the description of what's going on, for now, I think this would work and keep things dry until permanent repair could be made. View attachment 832492
I thought the one being screwed on was fine thread, not GH. But I'm not sure, and was wondering if an adapter would work.
