Branson brand to be discontinued?

I really like my nearest Branson dealer, but he's faced with a TYM dealer up the road; I wonder what will happen with them. They've got McCormick ag tractors to keep them going, but I imagine they'll pick up another line. Or rather, I hope so, they're good people.

The TYM dealer, on the other hand, comes off as shifty.

Won't the Branson dealer also become a TYM dealer?

The T494 also has the fuel tank near the left step, the T474 has it up high above the 3pt. I like the lower location.

Technically, "Branson" never existed. It was always just a brand name of Kukje. TYM actually waited a long time to shift names. They owned a large portion of Kukje since 2016.

One of my 'local' TYM dealers also sells LS and Zetor. The other sells Kioti and TYM. Both also now carry the Branson models. The Branson dealer didn't have any other lines before, bit now has the full TYM/Branson lineup available, though not on the lot last time I looked.

I don't know how TYM is deciding which dealers to keep when they are very close. Ultimately, they should probably let the dealers choose for themselves and then the market will decide.

More dealers should be a net positive.

How far apart are they? I couldn't find 2 in the same city in the NE.

I don't know the actual distance, but they're both on the same stretch of road in Turner, Maine.

Two dealers, 9.3 miles apart. This will be a good case study.

You will have to keep us up to date on how this plays out.

Out of curiosity I just tried doing a search for Branson tractor dealers and website does not work. Tried doing same search on TYM and it also does not appear to show current Branson dealers. TYM site does seem to show Branson models as well as TYM so possible they are still working on getting all the Branson info transferred. No TYM with dealer shown with in 50 miles, Branson dealer is 4 miles away.

Side note had to replace the ignition switch on my 2400H and new keys have TYM name and logo.

Now that's bad news! Two companies that both have lousy web pages should be prevented from merging!!!
That's funny! But there may be some weight to that.

Go with the T494 for extra chassis and lifting capacities. I have not had a regen in these 314h.
Looking at the T494, is this model being renamed and produced by TYM?

The dealer locator definitely has both on TYM site. In Texas, Caddo Mills (Big Tex) and Carthage (Anderson) are/were both Branson. Longview (RJ) and Tyler (Coker) are/were both TYM.

Not sure though on some things, RJ has two locations (Longview and Seagoville). Only the Longview location is on the TYM locator. RJ website still shows both as TYM.

I drove the T494H today. Nice unit, what a tight turning radius! About 30F, as cold as my barn ever gets… Fired right up. I really liked the auto-throttle.

Dealer seemed very knowledgeable. Took a lot of time to offer information, learn my needs. The main salesman was at the dealer conference in FL where they are learning more about the integration of the Branson line… but they said at this time they DO NOT KNOW if they will ever see a Branson model on their lot, branded TYM or not. I asked about the 4820, and they said they have no idea if they will ever see a model previously produced by Branson.

Ive been interested in the LS tractors as well… but I’d really like to have the A series TYM diesel instead.

Does the 4820H have autothrottle or cruise control?

Maybe it is different here. Tyler, TX is one of the Branson assembly locations. Oddly enough, there was no Branson dealer in Tyler until this merger. (unless maybe an older one went under?). Both local TYM dealers said it would be no problem.

Also, the Kioti/TYM/Branson dealer in Nashville,TN has both lines in stock. He's had TYM for about a year. Branson is just recent.

Both.

The autothrottle in my 3725 is a simple cable attached to the HST linkage. It opens the throttle a fixed amount depending on HST pedal movement. It's enough when in middle range but in high range (I have the three speed range transmission) it's not enough and you have to bump the throttle up manually. High range is only useful for roading on flat roads, which don't really exist here. So it works ok for me.

Awesome, I really enjoyed the T494 auto throttle while playing on it at the dealer today. That motor is so quiet.

I don't know if the Kukje engined TYMs use the same cable auto throttle. Looking at the specs it looks like they use different hydraulic pumps and transmissions. It might only be the engines and FI pumps they're using.

The Kukje A series four cylinder really is quiet though.

I would just like to have one in ND.

Please (hat in hands).

😁
TYM sight shows Agassiz sales in Buxton, ND as a dealer. Looks like close to MN border north of Fargo.
