I hit the road early yesterday to get to the mountains and they were perfect...big cliffs and vistas, boulders, historic rock fences, and wildlife. Did my biggest hike this century .

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 4:00AM.
Sunny. High near 90F. Winds light and variable.
Another cookie cutter day, weather wise.

Starlink Residential system swapped. Will be interesting if I can note any improvement over the RV system.

Seems like it all depends on how many other Residential users are sharing the same cell. The more people sharing, the lower the bandwidth.

Worked on marking floor grade using friend's red rotary laser. Was hard to see the red laser, was not happy with how it turned out. It will get revisited once new laser gets here.

I didn't have much luck seeing the laser line in daylight, even using the special glasses that came with my unit. But as soon as the sun set it was pretty easy to see.

Still chasing problems with the replacement network switch. I'm now dealing with a second level tech support person that has me doing all sorts of useless tests. When I substitute a known good switch for the bad one, the problems clear up. But that's not good enough, I guess.

Planned the weekend's route yesterday using Garmin's absolutely horrible BaseCamp software for MacOS. Should cross at least four passes in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and reports from the area say that the aspen leaves are at peak colors. I'm planning a coastal route for the final leg home, and getting through San Francisco on a Monday morning should be interesting. It now costs more than eight bux to cross the Golden Gate Bridge, but tolls are collected for south bound traffic only, and I'm headed north.

Need to run a few errands in town this morning, and will use it as an opportunity to do a check ride on the touring bike. Not sure what I'll get up to this afternoon...

Good Morning.
It’s 40 and going to the middle 60’s today. Clear skies now and clouding up throughout the day. Temperature and Dew Point are only 1/2 degree apart, so spotty fog is likely this morning.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day to be out side. We got the plane picked up from the service center in NY, I got the idler pulley changed on the Lazer. Discovered there was a stream of bees going behind the siding on the house, entering though a hole for a conduit. I blew a cloud of Sevin dust into the hole, and the activity seems to have stopped

Later this morning I’m off to Punta Gorda, when I get back I have an airport authority meeting this evening, so I won’t get anything done around here. Supposed to rain tomorrow, so I likely won’t be outside then either.

Got to watch Verizon try for a third time to wire up my neighbors cable.
This time they used some big conduit to run the tiny fiber cable. With Junction boxes in the ground too.
Must have cost Verizon a fortune for the one hookup.

60°F and scattered thunder storms this morning, going up to 71° today. More rain expected off and on through mid-afternoon. Drove through some heavy rain crossing the bridge into STL on the way to work, with a pretty active lightning show.

Gathered the trash and walked it to the road last night, then got some cleaning done around the house. Wife left early evening to take the foster pup over to Missouri to another fosterer from St. Peters MO, who has a meet-n-greet scheduled for tomorrow with a potential adopter. This one was loud and persistent; I'm not going to miss that.

Good morning! 52 now, maybe 72 later. As RS said, weather was near perfect in Ohio yesterday.

Nephew was here yesterday about doing 2 flooring jobs in the house. He thinks it will be pretty easy. But then he does flooring for a living.

Made more progress on the trailer. Frame is primed. Top coat today. Then reassemble tomorrow and put it back to work hauling wood.

63F and partly cloudy @ 11:30, heading up to a high of around 72F for the day.

Managed to check hopper feeder yesterday last thing, it was cleaned out so I refilled it and one of the suet feeders.

Woke up early this morning and got up and then headed for the couch. Promptly fell back asleep for several hours.

Order at Menards is ready for pick up so The Woman and I will be headed off here in a bit to pick that up.

Will also swing by Harbor Freight and pick up a digging bar to trace back the tunnels and burrows under the barn floor.

Probably pick up another 4 gallons of diesel as well while we're out.

After we get back I'll replace the ball valve over in the barn and we'll get started on scrubbing out the gutters. Not sure how much we will get done as far as replacing hangers and installing covers due to the late start.

Forecast is calling for rain later, starting around 20:00. Calling for as much as 0.75".

Ten Day Forecast says we'll have another 4 days after today with decent temps (high 50's, low 60's) before the bottom drops out Sunday night/Monday morning.
