Just curious, those using a steering wheel knob on your subcompact tractor, what location have you found it to be the most useful / comfortable, etc. I'm getting ready to install one and figure several of you many have useful insight. Also, it's for a BX and I'm right handed. TIA

I place mine at 12 o'clock. I seem to have the most leverage in that position and its neutral enough to use either hand.

Where does you right hand normally rest on steering wheel....To me that would be logical position... But my SCUT has power steering so I don't need any knob....

Most newer tractors have hydrostatic power steering and the steering wheel will not remain in the same position. Your profile does not show what tractor you have so it's unknown if you have such a tractor. You can still put a knob on, just be aware that it will not remain at the same position.

That's how mine is. I put it about 11 o'clock. Some times it's there. Most times not. Still useful steering with one hand. Takes very little leverage.

This has been my experience, put it on and with a hydro steering system it will move around, but still very useful to have especially when doing loader work.

As mentioned, the steering wheel does not remain aligned with the wheels...

Which is why I put on 2 suicide knobs, opposite from each other.

I can always find a comfortable position and the unused knob has never been in the way on my MX6000.

Yes it does, OP stated it's a BX compact and it has hydrostatic steering (most all Kubota's do) so it DON'T matter where he puts it as it will always be in a different place anyway.
