If it all comes down at once it can smash your windows out. Or kill someone.

I was Stationed at Ft Sill, OK 50 years ago. Got 12" of snow and the Fort closed. Lawton also closed. I was highly amused. We got hit pretty hard last week here in East Texas. Everything closed down for two days, and the panic shopping stripped the shelves at Walmart. My hot tub gazebo shows just how bad it got!!!!
No snow guards here. Never even heard of them. We just let it build up and hope for the best.

Those snow guards look really good. Will they stop the snow from doing any more damage to your stove pipe? I was surprised by how it looked in your video!!!
I was also surprised by your vent pipes coming through the roof without any flashing. Did you just use caulking or silicone to seal around them?
In my opinion, you really need to install vent pipe flashing. OATEY Master Flash 6 in. x 6 in. Vent Pipe Roof Flashing with 4/5 in. - 4 in. Adjustable Diameter 14051 - The Home Depot

Looks like the transfer box and conduit are right on the siding seam ? Did you make sure that seam is sealed well ? That could be a problem down the road if the sealant fails ?I dont expect much accumulation of snow today. Too warm. It was 60 degrees yesterday and it is 34 right now.
Yesterday, I was getting the excavator running. I had previously had a fuel/water issue. After sitting for a long time. The water settled out and I was able to drain it off yesterday. I put the batteries back inAnd it started right up. I had been dreading it and expected to have to drain the fuel and take it to the recycling station. I will need that excavator because i need to get the well line in.
The electrician came and installed the panels and we are approved for early service. So I need to get ready for that. I have some dirt work I need to do behind the house, get that back area and slope the way I want it I plan to put in a retaining wall and want to get all my digging done before they trench for electric.
I never knew how beautiful a meter box could be.

We only get transfer switches if you are running a generator. Here in Tenn. its a straight run from the transformer vault to the meter, then the meter to the breaker box inside the building. No Transfer or cutoff switch involved.
If you need to kill the power going to the building how do you accomplish that? Here in Tenn. its a straight run from the transformer vault to the meter, then the meter to the breaker box inside the building. No Transfer or cutoff switch involved.
