I have ice chains on the back which gives wicket traction. Would studding all 4 tires compare to the just the ice chains being on the back. I do about 20 driveways and they are steep and sometimes icy.

The screw in studs have proven to be very effective for me.

I leave them in all year round. But do not drive on any black top pavement. (That would be a mile down the road ;-)

You are very right. I studded all 4 tires and managed some very steep driveways with my L2502. There was once I had to slip some chains on the front tires for one driveway I do. Mind you I don’t have as good of traction but it’s darn good.
