Just completed my hard piping and fitting to my BX2680 of a rebuilt and converted to hydraulic drive Ariens 48" blower. Driven by rear PTO pump and controlled by wireless key fob and remote receiver on blower with rechargeable battery- Milwaukee M12. Cab is by Kubota/Curtis and my installation.... with extra lights!

From aeblank: That sounds like something that needs a build thread and a lot of pictures....

I think rob needs to send that machine to me in Northern Michigan. Lol Jon

Got this old military surplus ten foot V blade at an auction for a couple hundred bucks CDN. Has JD 640 mount now, but since proof of concept has been successfully completed with flying colors, I will make a SS mount so I can use on both loaders.

Wanted some ultra FAST way of clearing a path to the back of a large property. Kawasaki Mule which is crippled with more than 6" of snow (despite lift kit and larger tires) can now easily get us back there.

Sure would be nice if the snow didn't stick to it though.

On the other side of that door, it started snowing this morning and is supposed to continue until Tuesday for a total of 20 inches or so. Tractor is full of fuel, shop is 65 degrees, I’m planning to start tomorrow morning to at least get the lane clear.
It’s a 96” hydraulic angle SSQA Erskine blade with urethane cutting edge on an L6060 with cab.

Looks to be the blade is rusty colored so no more paint. Try painting it good or my father talks about a graphite paint that makes it slick but I haven't tried it yet

Actually, the blade is painted SILVER. I thought it was aluminum and was a bit disappointed when I found out it was made of Steel. At least rebuilding the frame won't be a welding/material issue.

Funny to have a snow tool that you operate as FAST as possible and then come back slowly in a relaxed manner. Usually, it's the other way around.

Snow finally. 20210202_093817.jpg 20210202_092202.jpg 20210202_092154.jpg
It quit snowing when we got this Gator early January. Knowing that if I put the tires back on and mother nature tendencies..... took about 10 days, but we got snow

I've been waiting to post in here until I finished my plow build. We got close to 12" and that was enough for me to put her to use before painting the last frame member. That can wait till spring! I'm crossing my fingers because I assembled this late night, mid storm and only had one hiccup with a cylinder. The next morning I realized the hose wasn't completely plugged in. Got that situated and it's been turn key!

Paint, smaint  we got snow not a beauty contest. Besides a paint job just isn't proper without a few bugs glued on.

Looks good that underslung mount shortens the whole thing up nicely.

Great when a plan and some work come together.
Looks like an 8' blade?

Hope a video will be forthcoming to go with the pic..

7.5’ blade. Give me sometime to figure out how to post and edit a video. I got one of my maiden voyage. A little bit of a learning curve but nothing terrible. I’ll post it anyways.

Let's see if this works. Here's a quick clip from today's maiden voyage. This pass is on untouched snow, 12" deep. I slow up a bit because I thought I was going to hit my stone wall and then she picks right back up. At this point, the snow wasn't light and fluffy. A bit on the heavier side, but not bad. You can see the clumping afterwards. In short, it's definitely faster than the bucket since you don't have to dump and the skids on most frozen terrain make the process quick and painless.

Thanks for the video.. have a good time plowing snow now. Agree on the bucket chore.. not fun at all IMO and I change the bucket out for the blade as soon as I can.. but I change out the FEL for the plow blade.
