JT : how is the F ride to the operator on rough ground compared to your ZD ?
The F rides better on actual yard and not the driveway and the F is faster on open ground and of course traction going up and down hill is better on the F. They both have the weight adjustable seat so on smooth ground probably little difference but I don't have pavement level smooth yard. The F stays true to direction on yard where ZD requires the constant slight corrections on unlevel yard/field which becomes tiresome. The ZD is quicker around buildings and outdoor AC unit but not on most of the yard. Tree lower branches can also make a difference between them. The F deck can go under shrubs where ZD can not. The F can circle a tree almost as good as the ZD but not quite as good but the ZD does cut up grass around smaller trees when doing the tight circle. I have covers over both machines so I keep my lower tree limbs cut to get under them with both machines.
Of course the F has better traction going up and down hills, and the going down hills part is more important if there are trees at the bottom. The ZD some times is like a carnival ride going down hill if one of the tires breaks traction (high grass/wet grass/hole/steep).

The F3680s have become pretty scarce. My dealer hasnt had a used one in almost 2 years and they are a very busy Kubota dealership. I cant believe I had a clean used one with a 72 deck sitting in front of me for $8000 and didnt move on it. :duh: I bought the ZD331 right next to it. Although I have been real happy with the ZD331....its a tank and a money maker.

I just did a quick online search out of curiosity and found quite a few F3680's listed for sale.

Nationally? I found like maybe 10 on Tractor house less than 1000 miles away out of the 15 total in the USA. Id still be looking at an overnight stay to go get the few reasonable priced ones.

Keep an eye on FB marketplace, craigslist, and your local dealers. I found at least 10 for sale last year within an hour from me (PA, and I'm only looking casually.

Wow! I saw exactly one in PA, DE, MD, NJ on Craigs List and it only had a 60” deck (want a 72”).
Don’t hang out on FB.

OK I understand each to his own, but nothing wrong with overnight trip to check it out if you actually are looking to buy something like that!

I used to travel frequently due to work and would not hesitate at all.

Youre fine.:)
I just dont find as many as you. Theres a couple in Ohio 350-400 miles. Not much around me locally. They were much easier to come by 2+ years ago.
I will ask someone to check FB for me.
Thanks!

Thanks,
I just looked at Cincinnati, OH area this morning and did a 500 mile radius F.B. search for Kubota F3680 and while scrolling down through all kinds of other Kubota's could see 5 maybe 6 F3680's before I gave up.

So they are out there but it's limited if you are really focusing only on F3680

There are many other F models to choose from.

That’s the one Id like to move up to. F3990s out of budget and early models problematic.

Hi all - I posted several questions about F-series attachments in the Attachments section, but I see this thread has recent activity and wondered if anyone could help me out. Thanks in advance! Geoff

Here's a used 60" deck: Used Kubota RCK60PF36
Give Messicks a call. They will have their parts dept cross reference part numbers for you to verify what fits. My guess is this deck will work, but not 100% sure.

Thank you. I actually inquired on that one today, but here's what I got back. I don't think the reply makes sense, since I'd be choosing whether to have the quick hitch or the mower mounted (not both at the same time).

"Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately your F2260 takes a completely different Quick Hitch (F5211) then this mower would, so it would not hook up properly to your mower. Let me know if you have any other questions."

Give them a call on Monday, ask for Shannon, he's very helpful. Like you said, you don't use a quick hitch to mount the mower decks. There's another deck on there for my 2880 I'm trying to buy from them!

Will do - thanks!

There was an F3680 for sale with a 72” rear discharge deck, low hours AND a optional flail mower, and it was cheap. Just one problem, it was in Great Britain :(

That's a good price assuming it fits (Messicks can easily check that)! Hopefully it comes with a drive shaft also?

I have not priced out 60 inch decks, but a just a 72 inch replacement deck shell alone will cost over two grand.

I wouldn't want to mess with a quick hitch for a mower deck in a Kubota F - the original factory setup works fine.

Do the other implements, blower, flail mower, etc. hook up fairly easily ?

Yeah, I’ve seen some across the pond...something made me think it wouldn’t be worth the shipping. 😂

Thanks - I did ask them if it comes with a shaft. I’ll try calling tomorrow.

Agreed on the quick hitch and deck. My idea is to use the quick hitch for spring clean up (rotary broom), then take it off and go to mower for the summer. In the fall, go back to quick hitch for clean up and then alternate between the broom and blade through the winter depending on how much snow we get in each storm (Utah). I haven’t got to try sweeping snow with the broom yet but I’ve seen videos and it looks pretty impressive at getting it down to bare concrete. The blade pushed a lot of snow this winter, and I could stack it about 4’ high. That was before I realized I had the lockout blocks installed that prevented the blade from raising more than about 8”. Next winter should be fun - I bet it’ll stack it to 6’ with full range on the blade!
