John, your old 3080 is still in my shed. Over 200 hrs on it now.

My old volkswagon had 360k on it when it finally died, and my current avalon just hit 300k, and I still have my old 25hp country clipper mower with over 1000 hours on it.

Point being I don't think your old F3080 is ever leaving NC LOL

I had gotten rid of my first F, a F2680e and I bought it back with the money you gave me for YOUR F. They are Grand machines and I can understand keeping them forever. Now the cars......I don't know about that.:D Glad to hear your still satisfied with your F.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I'm new to this forum, so I apologise if this question has been asked already. I'm from the UK and have a five-year-old F3680 with 72in front mulching deck. Looking at it from the operator's seat, the left-hand side of the deck seems to cut a little lower than the right-hand side, and the deck doesn't lift evenly either. Any ideas? I'm wondering if I should replace the black bushes on the rear lift rods, as these look worn.

I have An F3080 with similar issue of Left side cutting very slightly lower. I have not been able to resolve but reconciled myself with notion that difference is only 1/8 - 1/4 inch difference between sides. Cut difference most noticeable when mowing sloped lawn with left side as the high side on the slope. If you find a solution, let us know!

I've only logged 6 hours on my new to me 2011 F2680E with 72" RD deck and I'm sold, it's a winner!

I am slowly rebuilding my new to me 72 inch rear discharge deck, and after removing all shields and removable pieces from it I noticed the whole deck is twisted by more than one inch! It was pretty impossible to notice this before taking it all apart.

This mower was previously operated by hired help at a local school district so there is no telling whether it was twisted already from the factory, or more likely the operators have hit some solid objects pretty hard with it.

I will straighten it out and fix few other small issues in time.

Anyway, if you are having trouble adjusting for even cut side to side, perhaps you should check if the deck is straight or not?

Cheers :drink:

Some one asked me (over in one of the other Kubota Forums) why I've bought 20 Kubotas in 12 years. Here's part of my answer.
I'm a convinced F owner that they are the best mowing machine made........resisted Zs until a few weeks ago...Now.......Might would trade my current F2680e 72" with 150 hours under 50 hours side discharge deck to a bigger Kubota diesel Z because the F is fast and grand but a Z with a big enough but not 72", maybe 60" deck might do better around the rental units.
Now do you understand? I don't LOVE em but I do LIKE em. Same for cars and trucks. They are all for sale or trade except for the F3080 72" RD deck.

JOHN THOMAS you are a major part of me spending money. After this last mowing with the ZD326, got stuck twice. I figured not IF it will happen but WHEN the whole thing slides into the pond. So, just made a deal on a F3680... I got one more mowing to do, then the Z is history.

You'll never regret your upgrade to the F model. They will even cut high grass and stop when coming down a semi steep and even steep hill without brakes and no tires sliding unless the grass is wet or snow covered and the F may not slide in snow, don't know, never tried that.
Mind telling me the hours and trade in or sale price of your ZD here or privately. I'd appreciate it so I'll know how to trade.

Yes, my F2680e 160 hours 72" side discharge deck with about 50 hours is for sale or trade to a ZD326 60" for those that have been PMing me. About $13,000 for those asking dollar amount. All of you can continue PMing me or here. Barlows next week.
