Terramite T7 - 2007
I've begun a scavenger hunt going through older post for Terramite mods, attachments and assesories...found so far:

Backhoe Thumbs: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133147 https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415206

Bucket Hitch Mount: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=415206

Backhoe Ripper: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=376548

Front Loader Quick Release Mod: https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=371050

Thought this would be a good thread to collect mods, attachments and assesory ideas for Terramite...I'll keep updating links above as I find them...

Anyone else made any attachments? Made any cool modifications or assesories for their Terramite?

This is an attachment I made, I'm sure somebody has done this before but it turned out pretty good for my T7... Friend was getting rid of a 36-in mower plow... Removed the bracket but repurposed the blade/spring added a threaded rod to go through the backhoe bucket and bent a thick washer over to match the curve... I originally used the U-shaped skid brackets from the plow to hold onto the bucket teeth but had to switch to piece of shelving bracket due to them bending...

I wanted something for light finish gradding on heavy slopes...I left the spring in the system so if I hit a rock or dig too hard the plow has give...works well...only issue is with the spring I cannot back drag...

(Sorry for the double pictures, for some reason I can not edit/remove the first set)

Nice mod. Looks useful.

I've added a Linville thumb (hydraulic) to the backhoe and a tilting skidsteer qa setup to the loader arms. (sstilt is the item from palletforks.com).

To power these I've used the power beyond on the bh valve and a summit thumb switch/solenoid combo to the bh and a joystick type 2 spool valve to the left of the steering wheel for grapple and tilt circuits.

I think I've put pics in other posts. If not I'll add here.

Here are some pictures of the mods on my T6.

Tilt ss plate from titan. Linville industries thumb. Summit solenoid switch kit for handle. 2 spool joystick valve to control front tilt and grapple functions.

Nice work! Was putting on the full hydro thumb worth the extra cost... I was looking at the semi thumb that Linville makes and wondering if that would be good enough... How did you add the extra hydro lines for the thumb and grapple? Did you use diverter valves, third function kit or another method?

Absolutely worth it. I had a cylinder that I used... So the cost was limited. I split the power beyond flow of the bh valve w a divider the two flows go to the solenoid valve for the thumb and the two spool grapple/tilt. No selection required.

Nice... Any flow rate issues running thumb while articulating backhoe?

Nope. I'm pretty happy with the way it works.

T6 extension handle for the foot pedal, reduces foot stress and allows machine to moved while seat is the backhoe position. Counterweight needed to control constant drag on reverse gear, combined to create a pedal extension to reduce foot fatique.pedalextension.jpg

This forklift mod just popped up on a Creiglist post... Like this setup over the clamp on forks... Don't need to worry about bending the bucket and you can easily slide them side to side...129760427_10159007308118619_8784378859548283314_o.jpeg130036936_10159007308103619_4917224961196612367_o.jpeg130599961_10159007308213619_530201730801968327_o.jpeg

Thanks for all the support guys! A few fun factoids from my project -

The FEL fork lift capacity using over the bucket forks similar to the Craigslist picture above, on my T6d 4wd and plywood under the front tires to keep from sinking into the mud, is about 1600 lbs to lift the back tires off the ground, closer to 2000 lbs with the backhoe fully extended for counterweight and relief valve operating. I'm not running any ballast. The CG of pallet was about a foot in front of the bucket lip.

Also I have good measure of useable dirt scooping capacity - loading a 10 cy dumpster which has an actual capacity closer to 8cy to a level load, 24 to 28 scoops depending on how muddy the dirt was. This is a 5' wide bucket on the T6 and getting basically a flat across the top or less scoop (not heaped). That calculates to a nominal capacity of 1/3 cy. I'm dreaming of adding a piranha edge to the FEL to see I can get more but honestly I'm not sure I could move around in the mud with any more weight in the bucket.

Happy projects guys!
