If you're interested in trying a battery walk behind lawn mower, check your Lowes store. Mine had the 80 volt Kobalt marked down to $260 from $499, but there were only a couple left.

That is an awesome mower. Lowes is clearing out the 80v Kobalt tools for new models in 2021 I was told by a senior employee. He did not know much yet but said in Jan they will go to a show and get trained on the new line up but that the 80v batteries will still be used in the new line up.

We got the self propeller model that comes with the 6 Ah battery that helps me be more stable when using it. I notice 95% of weed eating time is now done with electric Kobalt. No one is jerking on the old lawn mower I noticed. :)

On the question about chain saw chains the Kobalt manual tells what Oregon chain they use. Lowe's have the Oregon chains in stock and I think the grease gun was Oregon as well. The 18" chain is $23 for one or the two pack is like $35 so I got the twin pack and a file. I think the grease gun for the roller nose was $7 loaded.

The 5 Ah battery adds some weight but may just grab one of the 2.5 Ah batteries if I was off of the ground or reaching far.

The 6 Ah battery using the self propelled 21" mower lasted one hour using it as a bush hog in weeds as tall as me. That was a shake down run while I had 30 days to return it to the store. In high gear it is faster than I can run any more. Since it pulls without the blade turning I may take it on my walks on days I am low on steam. :)

I am serious because it acts a brake going up or down a hill if balance is an issue by hanging on to the handle bar.

Broke down and bought a Lowes Kobalt 80V mower for $347. Mows great for what I want it to mow. Pics later.

Oak fell across the fire trail and with it being fire season and no response from city a neighbor and I grab our Stihl saws and hike over...

I had made 5 through cuts by the time my neighbor started his gasser...

Oak was too thick in some places for a straight cut.

Me thinks another Stihl AP saw will be bought soon!

Yes, they are impressive... loving my AP line up! Especially the chainsaw!

Which one to you have?

Which one to you have?

The original with narrow kerf chain... it was the only one available back in 2019...

Now they offer a top handle, a wider kerf plus upped battery performance..

Find I use the blower the most followed by the extended hedge trimmer.
