Stupid question, but here goes:
Bad valve on tire. Can I just unscrew internal air valve core, like a car tire and replace it with some of the spares cores I have?

On a Deere 5075E w/ filled tires. Tires weren’t soft, I wanted to check pressure. 1st thing I did was park valve at 12:00 and blew valve out with air hose. As soon as I did that I could hear valve leaking.

What I exactly am I looking at? Does core only screw into the little valve stem? Think I need that whole assembly that screws onto bigger stem, or just replace core with any old one that works? Is the big stem that attaches to rim for adding ballast?

I want to ask before I start taking things apart and end up with a stranded tractor with a flat tire, or a bunch of washer fluid on my lawn.

Yep, common core.

If you are nimble you can probably change the core as it sits.

If not, I'd block or jack the tractor so it doesn't squish enough to squirt out fluid when it's flat.

I don't have anything to add to the already good advice you have been given, therefor I won't add anything. :) .....Ok, I am a little bored, so I typed this.

I ended up jacking it up to take the weight off so I could give the axles a couple squirts of grease at the same time; and do the same on the other side without moving it.

...and yes, there is a regular old common valve core in that little adaptor stem like Ovrszd says.

Go through this every time. I jackup to be sure and replace with a fresh core. You could always replace the tire and rims instead.😂

So, you have to have air in the tires. My granddaddy had steel wheels.
