Home Brew Bucket Level?

As has been suggested, what is "level"? Level to the ground, or parallel to the tractor? What do you want it for? How would you use it?

Personally I feel the most useful thing would be a live video display showing the bucket from a front-quarter view. How you would do that (practically), I have no idea.

You do that with a front mounted camera, like many of us have.

This is what I call a front-quarter view:

Once I got the pieces in place, it's obvious how simple it is. Sometimes I just can't wrap my head around things before that point. Still have to make some changes though.

You were trying to make it too complicated.... The problem with to day we think everything has to do with technocracy...

Dale, you spelled that wrong, it's technocrazy.

A spinner knob is handier than sliced bread. A level indicator isn't far behind. Both are tools that improve operational efficiency. Neither are necessities. But neither is power steering. :)

Well said.

I have a spinner knob I've been wanting to put on my tractor, but its missing the bottom part of the clamp, and as simple as it would be to make a replacement, it sits on the shelf in the barn... its even got the John Deere logo on it, had it since before I got the JD tractor.

Works great for digging with the bucket.

The level indicator is useful to keep a consistent relationship of the skids and cutting edge on my loader mounted snow thrower. I can roll back a bit to get the cutting edge down to pavement or roll forward to get the skids to hold the cutting edge higher over the gravel.

I agree. I wouldn't even think about using sliced bread on the steering wheel for a better grip.

Aww man Greg.... I got shelves full of things like that. Now I gotta move it all. Can't throw it away, might need it. :)

Don't need no stinking spinner knob.... Power steering on my MF GC 1715 is so easy, I can get into trouble real fast....

Dale

The one I value most is on the JD. :)

Good one Bruce!! I'm a bit disappointed you didn't post a pic though. :D

I thought the title was about how much sweet feed to put in the bucket when making moonshine....
