While we are waiting for Kando to get at 'er again... and the subject of Knipex is holding folk's attention. Here is something you might try in a 'pinch'. Cotter pins out of paperclips.



Just noticed the resolution is not bad on the pics even though I dumbed them down. Hope nobody is stealing my fingerprints... I have been using a couple of them at TSA security lately to fast track at the airports.

Mate. You seem to be a wee bit obsessed with this pipe-wrench 'solution', and this isn't the first (or fourth) posting. Other solutions have been offered and quite a few new tools (ones that I was unaware of, anyway)/methods have been discussed.

It's a stripped plug, not a pipe.

Good tip and thanks for resizing. I can see your fingerprints, but don't need them.

IMO...From the way the plug looks I'd say most of the damage has been done by plier (two handle) type tools...likely vise grips etc...but the principal is the same with any type of plier type tools...they are more likely to tear material away as opposed to the applied jaw forces of a pipe wrench...

Right, this may look like a pipe wrench, but it is really a metal bender. The main use is straightening bent in mower decks.
