If wrong the sliding jaw will hit the edge of the fixed jaw and quit squeezing.![]()

Growing up and acting all mature is vastly over rated.

Next problem could be that as it's small now, then Kandy saying he is going to take off more to get some gripping edges and it's very tight that when the pipe wrench gets a good grip it just twist off the remaining metal. Then we will get 500 post on how to get it out with an easy-out, which size to use, best brand and what type of wrench to turn it with!
Hopefully by then somebody will come over and weld a nut, or handle, onto the nub for him.No, it'll take 500 post to determine how to get the support piece out of the way first.
Wow is this thread still going?

Crikey! Now you'll start a 235 post 'discussion' on how to thoroughly wash a tractor.

A pipe wrench is the only tool for this job. Throw all the other pliers away. If the op had started with a pipe wrench this thread would have never existed.
The most important thing is to spin it in the correct direction.

I want to see the sequel where its oily side up.Ok, so turning the wheel sharply, holding down the brake for the tire in that direction, put it in 5th, throttle up and release the clutch? Got it!
