This is as perplexing as removing a drain plug on a pallet.

How do you drain a pallet?

Put it in a shed with a wooden floor and let 'them' remove the plug.

Don't you guys have anything better to do....

Oh wait.....

have you tried clamping a vise tightly to it?.(put it on a floor jack) once clamped on, you should be able to turn the vise to loosen the nut, it has a much higher clamping force than what you have previously tried. if you know someone in your fire department, they may be able to get that loose with the "jaws of life", if it has clamping capability..
:applause: Since the rescue service will be there anyway from trying the first suggestion....

I need to say, that keeping bad oil, possibly with metal flakes in it, is not good at all for the transmission, that small amount on the bottom of the pan that you can't pump out will get stirred up!..

Radios1 has it wrong. Once you have the floor jack set, and the vice tightened on the drain plug, then you rotate the tractor.

No,no,no,once vise is securely tightened on drain plug, remove jack and take tractor into an open field(with vise hanging from plug)excelerate to full throttle in high gear THEN LOCK THE RIGHT HAND BRAKE. If that fail's,start slowly in a circle to the left, progressivly increase throttle and pressure on left hand brake until tractor is spinning lickity split counter-clockwise:hypnodisk: THEN quickly go from left brake to right brake:shocked: and hold on for dear life. Don't forget to wear your seatbelt.

With all due respect if there was room enough to use this suggestion, one of the other ideas would have gotten the job done months ago.
The crossbar directly under the plug limits the options. (I would have removed that bar long ago, and made something which either can be moved, or is offset so that you can get a wrench on the plug.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if for some odd reason that plug was a left handed thread and all this time he's been tightening it?

Or after he pumped out all the old fluid and refilled with fresh then the plug fell out.

While generally amusing, cannot believe I just went through 50 pages of posts for a drain bolt that has been stuck for 8 months! :duh:

HA,you should have been around when the farmer came here needing help with his donkeyl:donkey: with stopped up plumbing. A few suggestions were evil,a few down right inhumane and a bunch would be worth price of admission just to watch.
