What a relief...I thought this thread had died!
Don't you guys have anything better to do....
Oh wait.....
:applause: Since the rescue service will be there anyway from trying the first suggestion....:laughing:have you tried clamping a vise tightly to it?.(put it on a floor jack) once clamped on, you should be able to turn the vise to loosen the nut, it has a much higher clamping force than what you have previously tried. if you know someone in your fire department, they may be able to get that loose with the "jaws of life", if it has clamping capability..

I need to say, that keeping bad oil, possibly with metal flakes in it, is not good at all for the transmission, that small amount on the bottom of the pan that you can't pump out will get stirred up!..

Radios1 has it wrong. Once you have the floor jack set, and the vice tightened on the drain plug, then you rotate the tractor.
using the vise would work safely, though!.. this thread is getting so absurd, I'm gone from it!..:applause: Since the rescue service will be there anyway from trying the first suggestion....
With all due respect if there was room enough to use this suggestion, one of the other ideas would have gotten the job done months ago.using the vise would work safely, though!.. this thread is getting so absurd, I'm gone from it!..
Wouldn't it be a hoot if for some odd reason that plug was a left handed thread and all this time he's been tightening it?
While generally amusing, cannot believe I just went through 50 pages of posts for a drain bolt that has been stuck for 8 months! :duh:
