I would really love to get an EA Wicked 66 grapple, but I do not think I can wait eight weeks... I need to get some stuff done and putting it off until the end of January is not an option.

Who has some good grapples for an M7040 in stock?

Land Pride thru your Kubota dealer - - ANBO, in Colville, WA. ANBO will make anything you want - out of several different types/grades of steel and has many models in stock. I've visited ANBO a couple times - 70 miles north of me - and they make fantastic grapples.

I was just about to pull the trigger on an ANBO until the local Kubota dealer made me a great deal on the Land Pride. Also - if you will be getting a grapple, consider making some type modification - such as I did - to you grill guard. I will save your grill, battery, radiator from unnecessary holes.

Just picked up my LP SGC1572 (same version as Oosik, just a bit wider) yesterday. Taking it up to the property tomorrow. These are designed for Skid Steers, so they are super strong and reinforced. I went with the LP over EA because cost was same but I could get it in 2 weeks instead of 2 months. From the looks it should be an outstanding front implement. My only concern which I can see Oosik fixed with a bungee is the hoses. I will have to be careful when QA attaching (not to hit them) and find a good place to keep them out of the way.
Of note, this is a very heavy grapple. Mine weighs 900-1000 lbs. So consider the weight in your FEL lift calculations.

Jchonline - I'm pretty sure you will like that new grapple and the way it works. I've had mine for four and a half years and have not been able to do much more than wear some paint off it. Your Op manual - like mine - covers the SGC 1560 - 1572 - 1584. It lists your grapple at 922 pounds. That 100 pounds heavier than my 1560. My favorite task - come up to a half buried rock - about the size of one of those old steel office desks - FEL up high - rotate the grapple straight down - jaws wide open - come straight down on the rock - close the jaws - pluck the rock right out of the ground. It even makes me tired to try and explain how much time I use to spend digging those rock out with a hand shovel - nudging them onto a wooden skid and drag them to my "disposal draw/valley".

Every so often I will have to fall and burn one of my old buddies - an ancient Ponderosa pine. Pine bark beetle. Those hoses flop around - I was concerned that they might get tangled with the limbs I scoop up - - so the bungee. I've got to get a new pair - the "uncovered" ones die an early death from UV. The bungees with the cloth cover seem to last a bit longer.

My bungee attaches to the bracket that the "bucket level indicator rod" slid thru. About the second week I had the new tractor - something hooked on that indicator rod - oh, well, its not an important item anyhow. The location is just right - just enough bungee pull to hold the hoses up and allow them to stretch out for all types of grapple movement.

Anbo is a great grapple. I’ve had my rancher series almost 2 years now and very pleased with it. Ditto what the others said about the grill protection with expanded metal, I just recently punched a hole in the mesh on my grill while planting deer food plots and not sure how as I hadn’t even been using the grapple. I’ll try to get a couple pictures of how I fixed my hose couplers. Although there is a wait for an Anbo, it’s usually only a couple weeks, but I think weather is a factor in that so I’d order now, as I had a little longer wait because I ordered in January when they were down for heavy snowfall. Contact David Floe at the Anbo Company and I guarantee he’ll do you right and you won’t be sorry you chose them.

you can get a Titan shipped the same day you order, and anyone within 1000 miles of Memphis TN where they're located gets free shipping. No I don't work for them, I'm just a satisfied customer on a few different things. Not a grapple though.....YET.

I like how those are all hot dipped galvanized but they are all soft A36 steel! Why invest in something that痴 going to wear down faster than a different brand grapple that痴 made out of AR400 steel.

99% of the people who buy any brand grapple will never wear it out.
What most people dont take into consideration (or ask) is what is that person going to use it for. (light or hd work)
Im all for quality but why would you spend double, or more over a lower cost unit when it will do you just fine in your situation?
Ive worked on construction rental equipment for over 25 years and seen every kinda yahoo cowboy wanna be operator around on skidsteers work the heck out of the "lower cost" grapples. If they can stand up to that they should be fine on a tractor.

EA and Landpride were competitive on the price at around $3500. My machine with the grapple weighs around 11k lbs. The skid steer grapple is what they recommended. Got to try it out today, it didn't disappoint. Who knows, maybe the cheap one would work just fine. Mine gets heavy use (large boulders, wind thrown trees with 1/2 the root ball sticking out, etc). So far so good.

I've been looking at these.

Just ordered one Thursday $75 less with with an ebay coupon. Delivery is Tuesday to finish hurricane cleanup here.

Will let you know once I get to play with it. BTW- I got the '19 updated unit with completely covered hoses, grease zerks on lids, wider jaws. Also has one piece inserts now versus two.

For my use of general brush and tree cleanup around the farm I think this fits the bill. Again, will let you know once I get to play with it.

Finally getting around to posting the pictures I said I’d get. I used bulkhead fittings in that plate I welded onto the loader that I’ve never gotten around to painting. The one I got is almost exactly the same width as the tractor, the switching valve is from Anbo, and the loader handle control switch is of course a Sure Fire brand I bought from my local Motion Industries store. I have not had any trouble with my hoses hanging as they are and used a male and female coupling on the hoses to keep from needing to mark the hoses as to which goes where. Hopefully this will help out.
