Better Brush Forks?

Well, the easiest, and most costly (always the way, eh?), would be to convert your FEL to SSQA with an adapter, then you can weld an adapter to your current bucket to use it as-is, and get another SSQA bucket for moving dirt around.

Expensive option, but once you go SSQA, you won't want to go back.

I got the brush forks off the loader. Some of the nuts did not want to move, but I got them loose with a big wrench and greased the threads. I worked the turnbuckles and got them loose, too. Next time, it will be a lot easier to remove them.

I am now much happier about the forks. Now that I can remove them, I can also move them around when I need to use the tractor as a forklift. The only difficulty will be keeping the forks level. I should be able to move stuff approaching 1000 pounds, if I understand the label on the forks correctly. It says the weight limit is 1500 pounds, and the label appears to be for one fork. The forks themselves are heavy, so I figure I deduct maybe 150 pounds from the tractor's lift capacity, giving me 1350 pounds, and I should be okay lifting 1000 to give myself a margin of excess capacity. The forks can apparently take it.

I wish I had this grapple years ago.........hand loading and unloading brush from trailers is a drag.

Keep a eye open for a bent bucket. Just take a close look at it before purchase. Bet you can get one CHEAP and it would likely work fine for your forks. Almost got one the other day for free at a nearby dealership but it was to small for my needs
Might take a while but just keep looking.
