Where is Your Tractor Kept?

My tractor and attachments all have their place in "The Deere Shanty". No heat, no AC but it's dry and secure.

In our garage where it fits without dropping the ROPS, car lives in the shed where tractor used to.
It is stored with a framed harrow and the rest of the implements (Grader/Ripper, Post Hole Digger and Stick Rake) live in the hay shed.

Mine is in the smaller bay (8.5' door) of the 2 bay "carriage house" that we built on the turnaround area for the main 2 bay house garage. In the winter, I used to bring it over to a house garage bay and park my Tacoma in the 9.5' bay area of the carriage house. However, the last 2 winters I could not do this because we bought a Miata and park it in the 9.5' bay of the carriage house, and the Tacoma won't fit in the 8.5' bay with the cabinetry that I have on the left side of it. So, the 2025R stays in the carriage house all year round now.

The tractor could also fit into the doors of the basement of the carriage house, but that spot is not a good one for getting it in and out of in the winter.

Mine sleeps in a tall, single bay carport. Had to move it to this one when I put on the canopy - all four stalls in the four bay carport are too low.

My Kubota and ford are stored in a 40’x60’ pole building. No heat or ac but out of the sun and weather. Wish I could mouse proof it but I think that is an impossible battle.

My four tractors are parked under a shade tree (live oak). I'd love to have them in a barn, but the building department is unreasonable and the property taxes are ferocious. If I put up a metal building myself I'm required to hire a certified bolt inspector ($100/hr) to measure torque on the bolts before the county will sign off on it!

Torque control bolts are the answer for that! The outer part snaps off when target torque is reached. Any inspector can spot a correct install from 40 ft.

My blue tractor lives in the heated shop in the winter and in the barn summer times.
In 15 years it’s never spent a night in the rain.
All of my 3PH tools are on castered dollys with with the casual exception on the loader bucket, all live inside one of several buildings.
Drives my nuts to see expensive iron sitting outside in the weather.

Although I dont have one yet, the boss has already decided. No garage, no tractor. Garage is being built this summer! I have a 24x30 with two 10x10 garage doors. It is very expensive to build in the mountains, so I will have to make due with 24x30 for now.
