Good morning, all!
19 going to a high of 34 with 'periods of snow mixed with freezing rain'. YUK! I hate freezing rain, but it is a good indicator that winter is upon us.
Wind SSE 9 mph.
The new pup and the two youngest cats are playing together, somewhat.
The new emergency shutoff for the Kioti came yesterday....$175.oo all in. Can't beat that price.
I went to the manufacturers' website (they are located in Edmonton, AB)
Welcome to Envacon, home of AirStop and got a quote from them for the manual shutoff (this one is electric) and their price was $791.55 + tax + shipping.
I have to make a tool to reset the shutoff as the lever is too short and I am not strong enough to overcome the closing/reset spring by hand. That is no big deal.
I have two options for the activation switch. The first one is to go with a dimmer switch (which I have here brand new) or the other is a starter button. The solenoid only requires a short burst of electricity to get it to activate (pull the plunger back) on the solenoid to release the blade of the shutdown valve into the closed position. This is a guillotine type shutdown valve.
I am having my morning coffee out of my new coffee mug. It holds 1 pint of liquid at a fillup. Just my size. One of the guys I work with picked it up for me on my 71st birthday (which I celebrated 1,000 miles away from home as usual). It has the universal symbol for no + a picture of a clock + a picture of a bull + plus a pile of what comes from under the bulls' tail. This is also printed on both sides of the cup. Block script about 1/2" high for those of us that can read English and the universal signs for those of us that can't.
I didn't go for a cruise yesterday, so it will wait for another day.
A short trip to town this afternoon including the parts store, is in the cards.
Happy turkey day for those that celebrate it.
Have a good day, all.
