Not a clue my friend, not a clue!!!!
Anxious to find out though.![]()

I just looked at a similar bracket on a M6 yesterday.
FYI, to secure the weights, an angle iron goes through the hole in the weights. The angle iron then bolts to the bracket on each end.
Thanks. I've got the angle iron but it's bent in the middle. I tried to heat it and pound straight but no dice. Any idea how to in-bend 2" x 2" x 1/4" angle iron? I could heat it more as well or just make another. Any thoughts?
In actual use, I've left the angle iron bracket, or retainer, off for years on several bigger tractors and never had a weight come off or even shift on me.

I'd probably just make another angle iron fastener.
I don't fasten the weights on my 9540. If I bounce the tractor hard I'll hear them bang around a little but have never lost one.
When I lived in rural Maine with fields, woods, swamps and severe hills and rocks, I had a Kubota M8950 with --I think-12 or so weights on the front. I severely bounced around, nearly rolled it and never had one move.
I built my rack and intentionally made it a bit long. So the weights can side shift a little. I think that's the banging around I hear occasionally.
Of course someone will read our posts and decide to not fasten their weights and bounce one off. We'll hear about that!!!!!![]()
I'd like to see a 100# weight break. Maybe when I was younger....![]()
How did you mount that with the grill guard? Do you have a closer photo?

94BULLITT--that is a beautiful installation with what is probably Kubota's best looking weight on Kubota's fine BX. Plus the dual use is icing on the cake. We sure are fortunate to own these beautiful tractors and be capable of doing such quality mods.
