Kioti filter cross reference number list (all models)

I was able to find oil, hydraulic and HST filters for my CK35HST on tractorjoe.com.

The hydraulic filters were in the $35 range each, oil filter was $10. Standard shipping on all three was around $20.

Be careful of tractor joe's. I ordered a $100.00 HST from there and they sent me a counterfeit filter. I ordered the OEM filter and got what I think was a Baldwin. I did get my money back though.

Couldn't find a part number of any kind on old air filter. Tried cross reference on Donaldson site no cross reference found. Oh well the wix 42222 should do just fine. This is for DK35 with Daedong engine.

The Donaldson air filter is P827653

I do not know of any cross-references for the Kioti branded filters. The Donaldson air filter cross references everywhere and is available from Donaldson on Amazon.

So I gave my local diesel shop a call asking about the hydrostatic filter. I used this part number T4125-38021 which I got off a kioti parts website. The diesel shop claimed that Donaldson has a filter here is the website I checked it at Donaldson P573481 HYDRAULIC FILTER, SPIN-ON Engine & Hydraulic
The Kioti parts website shows a connection adaptor part#T4125-38051. The link above shows a filter that looks like it would fit with an oring to go onto the adaptor. Any thoughts?

Just my two cents, but I cannot understand investing $20,000+ on a tractor and then looking to save peanuts on filters, some of which, you, given most use, will change every 2 years. In some cases, a cross reference is "closest to factory specs" not necessarily equal to factory specs and a hydraulic filter is a different animal than an oil filter. Do a search of this site for dealers, one very good one in Michigan comes to mind. They can set you up with the real thing and the $$$ is not that bad.

It does take guts to use the cross referenced donaldson hydraulic filter in place of the kioti to save 60 bucks. Would be nice if the substituted filter was verified.

And is thats the HST filter or the hydraulic filter. Big difference in price.

Why does it take guts?

As Eric noted above, Donaldson isn't Fram And, Eric should know, Donaldson is a Minnesota company!

Keep in mind that Kioti doesn't spec anything exotic for their fluids. In this case it's about the filtration level and pressure cutoffs; and here too, I doubt that anything magical (above industry norm) is happening. Just comes down to whether it's a quality filter.


FYI - The Kioti 38021 filter weighs in at around 1 3/4 lbs (less 1 oz - you do the math)

I don't think Kioti would admit that the donaldson filter is equal or better than theirs. What would happen if the hst would fail and Kioti saw this filter being used, would they honor their guarantee?

My sister worked for Donaldson as a Senior Process Engineer (she designed and set up assembly lines) up until a former company she worked for 20 years called her up and asked her to come back because they needed to make Honda and Chrysler parts.

From what I can see without cutting the things apart, the HST filter looks the same (as in the tool marks). I can also tell you that years ago my sister built the assembly lines for this type of filter in a couple of Asian locations. Sadly I never asked for confirmation while she worked at Donaldson but what I can share is that Donaldson wanted her skill set after she had built assembly lines for Apple iPods at FoxCom and the original Mac Airbook (meaning shedloads of robotic machining and finishing tools) before her original employer hired her back to build assembly lines for auto parts again.

I just got off the phone with donaldson. They said that the Donaldson P573481 is made by Hitachi, and is a good cross-reference to the kioti T4125-38021 HST filter.
