Well, I only own two grapples but, ............ "most versatile" still depends on your needs so, is very subjective.

I have a 1000 lb., 84" dual lid grapple, installed (almost full time) on a 100 HP tractor with 5000 lb.+ lift capacity. I push over huge dead trees and pick them up intact, to put on burn piles. Lift is over 12' at full load.

Also have a 72" single lid EA Wicked Utility grapple for my 46 HP tractor with 1900lb. lift capacity. I bought it specifically for its 42 1/2" jaw opening. This one get used used exclusively for picking up brush / limbs and transporting to burn piles. I never get anywhere near the FEL lift range. This tractor has a lift height of about 8' at pins so, sometimes I just just dump limbs / brush near a big burn pile then, use the big tractor to pile onto the main pile.

I'm sure that Tom Seller realizes that multiple grapples gives you the ability to cover a broader range of uses? If I had to pick between my two grapples ...... I'd still have two grapples.

I certainly agree that a 42" opening is very desirable. My 48" single lid Millonzi has a 42" opening. Wouldn't want it any less. I also find my most common grapple task is ripping out and carrying brush. 48 wide and 42 opening is just about perfect. A shame that one has to "upgrade" to a very heavy expensive grapple to get such an opening these days. EA certainly has the ability though apparently not the desire to offer something like mine in their lineup.

I bought my grapple for my CK20 which had a lift capacity of 1070lbs. Worked very well until I outgrew the tractor. I simply moved the grapple to the new tractor.

My Kioti DK40se has 2700lbs lift capacity. With a 300 lb light duty grapple I can lift quite a lot. Heaviest thing I ever successfully lifted was the rock I posted photos of a couple days ago. Based on the granite rock dimensions I recall it calculated out as between 2000-2500lbs. That could only be lifted because I had my backhoe mounted for ballast. I didn't dare lift higher than in the photo as the rear end was light. Moved it about 50 ft to the side of the pasture and it sits there today.

I should add that all the EA grapples are certainly better built than mine but mine has survived over ten years now and is still going strong.

There are three tractors that the grapples move between, 45, 60 and 80 HP. The narrow is 50" and I don't know who made it (came from a neighbor). Weight is about 300 lbs.

X3 buckeye! We've survived it for over 4 years since I started this thread; back when the very first Wicked Grapple was on the welding table!!

Gotta wonder how Millonzi would have done had he not died at an early age. The folks on TBN who bought them were/are very happy. One guy mounted the same grapple as mine on a Kubota M59 and loved it.

Small is beautiful.

Here's some fresh 50" Wicked Grapple feedback that was shared in the EA Channel Facebook Group last night.

Patrick's tractor is a Kubota B2650 with a universal quick attach.

"My new Kubota B2650 with EA 50" Wicked Grapple at work. Had no trouble moving 6' pine logs. It works as advertised. I put 5 hours on it today moving logs up to 18" diameter and 6' long."
