67°F and .05 inches rain since midnight.
Wife got a bit of mowing in yesterday while I worked on cleaning the swimming pool filter. Would have been best to replace the sand but I didn't have any. Flush one more time and put back together.
Wife's follow up urologist consult unexpectedly changed to today due to a cancellation so a trip to Waimea later this morning.
Ordered 36 new 280w solar panels for my electric upgrade. Decided replacing my older, smaller panels was the better solution.
Be safe
Have a great day.
Hope wifey's appointment goes well.
That's a lot of panels. How big of an upgrade will this be? Are you doing any of the work yourself? I looked up 280w panels and wow, I wouldn't know where to start shopping for them.
spent several hours elbow deep in grease, taking the wheels and parts off the Gravely mower I'm renovating. It warmed up enough today to be quite nice working in the barn.
Then back to the house to find that I can't leave the garage door open at all, even for a couple of hours. Blankety blank squirrels came in the garage and munched right into a new bag
of bird seed. I'll pick up a metal can tomorrow.
Nice project Drew. Keep us posted. Being a Yamaha fan, I found out they are building air cooled v twins for mowers now. Their first collaboration is with Gravely, but boy oh boy are they pricey...Please excuse me if I have previously posted this...

Drew, If you can get close enough, you could have fun with a paint ball gun and the squirrels..OTOH a nice pellet gun with a scope works wonders too.
my blacksnake is down at the barn. And way too many squirrels. Very bold...and wreck my birdfeeders.
Maybe it's time to oil up the BB gun and send out the Disinviting Committee. I could probably sit right out on the porch on my rocker and they would go for the
feeders. 5 pumps instead of ten and a shot to the rear; just love the way they leap up in the air. And head back from whence they came. But not for long...
btw, I never shoot an animal on the ground, only on the feeder. They are welcome to anything on the ground.
I won't hit them with anything harder; they don't know that feed isn't for them. I'm sure I'm just their best man, the man with the goods.
But unfortunately I don't speak squirrel. Is there an app for that?
Black snakes go on winter vacation.
Could be a rat or a tree rat.
I wrote this a few years ago for an article in a newsletter, not sure if I ever posted it here.
Very nice Top. Major Matt Mason comes to mind. I was a space nut. I also got a GI Joe Rat Patrol Willys Jeep one Christmas. I wish I still had that thing now!

Took off yesterday to take my 6 year old boy flounder fishing. My buddy has an aluminum boat with an additional airmotor, and a rack with LED lights on the front. Conditions were good, but the previous cold spell had already driven all the flounder out of the tributary we were in. They head to the Gulf of Texas for the winter. We got 1 fish. We probably should've gone to Port O'connor to get closer to the mouth of the bay, but having my little boy, and it being his first time ever in a boat, we didn't want to take any chances crossing deep water at night with the chance of fog occurring.
I'm off until Tuesday.
Had me a cup of mostly decaf with a jigger of Irish Cream in it....Yummm.
Roy, your wifey must really be special to put up with you and your early mornings for so long. Just kidding. Happy Anniversary.
