Rain coming in, but managed to get corner brackets installed.

Next step is to mark locations for the purlins. Easier on the ground and will aid getting trusses in proper alignment. Challenge is my marker doesn’t work well on wet metal.

Nice looking generator RNG. Remind me of the particulars?

RNG- In my rush this AM I failed to compliment your sunset picture and I really like your generator.

David- Despite the rainy weather you are still making progress on the carport project.

31ºF is today's high temperature so far and the freezing drizzle is still falling. It looks like ~1/8" of ice has already accreted on the tree branches. Our road down to town is a freaking frozen mess; our driveway is worse, but we made it down to the "Big City" for Wifey's orthopedic appointment and my grocery/supply run and back.

Tonight's weather should be interesting around here. If the anticipated freezing rain does not change over quickly enough and/or the cold air damming does not break down soon enough I could see losing our power tonight/tomorrow.

I hope that everyone is having a decent day and all challenged by this huge CONUS weather system stay warm, dry, safe, and sound.

1 1/2” of rain so far today, 55°, not going to make the 60s that were predicted. Got some pulled chicken BBQ in the cooker for dinner, gonna try to stay dry and eat well.

73 degrees and forecast not good, tornado warnings plus now 2-3 inches more rain.
Wind sounds like freight trains coming through the woods.
I wish this would come through in the day, nighttime storms are spooky.
I worry so much less now that I have an automatic gen.

I've been thinking about cancelling my cable provider that only provides internet to me as I already have a Verizon Mifi.
Double coverage, have had the Mifi for very long time, back to when living on boat.
Well Suddenlink went down several days ago, as if often does, so I just waited. Called them today and robot told me the phone number associated
with this account reflects termination for non payment. Say what? Never got the bill, used to be on autopay but they switched systems and I didn't get it back on.
They have twice now done this to me, so ok suddenlink, have it your way. Little Verizon hotspot isn't as fast as cable, but no pixellating and always works.
Nice to have known you suddenlink. That saves almost 50 bucks a month.

The cost of conserving business is always way less than acquiring it. Foolish business to cut folks off without any second notice at all.

Hope everyone on East Coast stays safe tonight.

WOW! You are quick, yup that is exactly what I was getting at.
My next statement was going to be copper tubing for the worm.

About all I know about it is corn and sugar. I made lots of wine from grape concentrate juice, sugar and a little yeast.

Wng, you are welcome to borrow my mud sucker when you get tired of digging that sand by hand. Yes, the Alien is still there, constantly growing. It took quite a bit of wading last year to keep it in check and I have been adding dye again to reduce the light and slow it's growth now it is too cold to go paddling. My hope is that the trials on the biological control come good and that the tiny mite that feeds on it's shoots gets approval for release in the UK before it takes over the other ponds.

I just had a chance to watch the mud sucker videos...even watched a couple of extra ones...wow what a great technology. I'd love to try one to suck sand and mud from under my bridge...but think my gasoline pressure washer needs clean water input at some minimum level of psi...don't know how I'd get that done down at the bridge. Hope to hear you are successful.

Rain held off long enough.
A few paper towels later and I was able to get trusses marked for purlins. Wife helped by holding end of tape measure.
Also played with positioning leg support brackets. All in all, a good day.
Just a bit more prep stuff and maybe Sat start on erection.

Sure can! Just go to TurboTax.com and create an account. If you have a previously created acct, you can just log into that acct.
