Good advice from Eric.
The NX6010 and JD4066 tractors are both large compact tractors with similar weights and the loader lift capacities are over 2,500 pounds.
I don't think you can really go wrong with either grapple.

Does the Single Lid Wicked Root Grapples for Compact Tractors in each size really weigh exactly the same as the Dual Lid Wicked Root Grapples for Compact Tractors in each size category?

That's what I've been told. Those lids on the singles are pretty beefy.

Called Travis this afternoon and ordered the 73" single lid Wicked Grapple for Utility tractors.

EA is really great to deal with and Ted needs to give Travis a big raise for being a true EA Product Champion!

Looking forward to delivery of my grapple. It will augment my 84" HD dual lid grapple installed on out New Holland TL100A. The new EA Grapple will be used exclusively on our LS XR4046HC tractor for brush and limbs from tree trimming.

I look forward to weighing in on the "single lid vs. dual lid" disputed on several TBN threads.

I was originally going with the 55" but, decided on the 73" for additional $145 so it will cover my tires if I need to actually grapple some roots.

This will obviously eliminate me from weighing in on the "narrower is better" disputes but, so what? ;-)

Man, too bad you'll not be able to settle the "single vs. dual" dispute AND the "narrower is better" dispute.
But..........if it were settled, what could we all argue about? :laughing:

It was a pleasure helping you. If you're used to the 84" on the smaller tractor, you should know what you're getting into with the 73".

Thanks Travis. My 84" grapple is very HD and weights almost 1000# so it virtually full time on my NH TL100A with Bush Hog on back for added counterbalance.



Anxious to receive my new grapple.

My 73" Single Lid Wicked Grapple arrived yesterday. I put pallet forks on my LS XR4046HC and unloaded from the back of the SE Freight Lines truck. Had SE loaded the grapple pallet 180 degrees turned, I could have just dropped the pallet forks and hooked onto the grapple SSQA and picked up grapple and pallet. No problem, trick was at my place for less than 10 minutes. I like SE FL as I get same driver for every delivery. He knows where to go so, little time is wasted.







Installed my QD's and had an operating grapple in about 15 minutes. Ready to get busy this morning.
