Here is our F350 hauling an old PistenBully snowcat, nordic ski trail groomer. The trailer is a PJ T8 Gooseneck 26 ft. (22 tilt + 4). No complaints about the trailer. Running a snowcat up a tilt trailer (in snow) can be a bit scare. I have some conveyor belting screwed to the decking and a pair of 4x4's clamped to the frame which prevent falling off from a lateral slide. (Snowcats love sliding sideways.)

Nice setup.

I'm guessing that chains are mandatory in your area, or are they for when you aren't hauling a trailer ?

I know a few Cummins haulers around here.... always nice to have a truck help pay for itself.....

Homing pigeons, I get hired to haul the birds on there races, up and down highway 395 north from San Diego to as far as Klamath falls.

Trailer is right around 12k loaded truck does close to 14 mpg pulling it

I have my class a

Makes sense... I'm still trying to figure out all the requirements since my brother is looking at bigger stock trailers for the farm and what exceptions there are.

I have asked two different Highway Patrol officers the same question and received different answers...
