Mine hasn't got that dusty yet, but have noticed the 008 error when I start it now, Not sure how long it's been doing that.

What's the 008 error? I didn't even see there's a spot for an error message? :)

Yes it displays on the LCD screen under the tach just after you start the engine, only stays on for a moment after starting so if you don't look at the screen after start up you will miss it. I watch the glow light if it's a cold start other than that I really don't watch it when starting. The book says a 008 code is no signal for water in fuel sensor. In Eric's posts about his doing it , he said his wouldn't start but mine still starts and runs fine.

Gotcha. It's smarter than I thought I guess :)

I looked at one of those Kubota's where everything is on the confusing dash... what a pain. I'm all for electric over hydraulic controls, but sometimes the best/simplest user interface interface is a regular old bank of switches, knobs, dials and handles :)

I'm back in a non-internet bandwidth challenged environment.

Thermostat swap out update: Since I swapped out the factory thermostat with a warmer T-stat, I've gone from DPF regenerations every 8-10 hours and reduced power problems to full power and no regeneration requests that I'm aware of over the last 40 hours of use. The T-stat seems to be great, with the engine temperature regulating right in the middle even while under heavy loads in warm, springtime temperatures (wait for my videos as evidence)

Mystery antifreeze leak update: It seems I have found and have fixed all of the factory antifreeze leaks, as well as the antifreeze leak my dealer installed.

A weird, new issue has cropped up: last year a tree took out one of my rear factory quick disconnects. Since Kioti doesn't offer the QD as a part, I slapped on some German version (because it is a German metric thread, as I recall). Anyway, this replacement German valve is popping off the box scraper's double acting ram on the compression hose. Unaware it popped off (since i wasn't using the scarifiers), I wrecked the hose, and so I have not had a change to swap things around. While in town I will get a new hose and chase down to the Parker store to see if they can get me a different QD.

Damage report: apart from the stuff in happening in my Frontier commercial box scraper video (that I'm uploading as we speak), a twig, or maybe a sapling, somehow tore up one half of the Woods BB720X driveshaft guard, and Woods doesn't seem to offer a replacement that I'm aware of. While I'm all for allowing toys that can kill or maim so that the stupid babies either get hurt and wise up, or culled out so they cannot grow old enough to accidentally kill us all, I like that the safety shield doubles as a great dust cover. Anybody know were to go to get Woods PTO shaft bits?

In other news, I've been informed that my double door, high cube container is finally on a train getting closer to me as we speak. I've been prepping the road into the new parcel as prep for receiving the container, but our local commercial enforcement state trooper started poking around wondering how all the class 1 got on my driveway while the road restrictions are still on. So we're shut down until the restrictions lift and I'm back home. Just as well as my 88-year-old mum has health issues that need to be prioritized as my high nail anyway.

At any-rate, here is a video review of the Frontier BB4284H commercial box scraper.

I made a few videos doing other stuff as well. Here is one where I push back my root pile to make room for more dirt.

I had to do some fitting of the 3" tilting cylinder that I got from MIE. By eyeball (and that's all you can do), it looked like the lower clevis hole was the same length at the longest (or bottom) clevis hole on the fixed link (18.5"), but when mounted, the three point sagged on the right side even when the ram was fully retracted. As a result, I drilled a new hole at an eyeballed 17" and used the fixed link's middle hole which measures 17.5" center to center. With this change, my three point was level when fully collapsed. My thinking is that hydraulic side links may all require a little fitting. Buy a 3/4" drill bit.

I also had a bad crimp on one of the included hoses.

The new tilt cylinder with locking valves allows easier servicing of my rotary cutter.

I also found a use for one of my stumps.

After somebody on a ATV went around the culvert I use to block the road and went tearing through the property, I threw more logs down to block access, and used a stump as a sign post to keep the respectful snoopers at bay.

My neighbor, Bill, has the same problem. An ATVer opened his gate which was already posted, and let themselves into his land. Bill started making new signs along this theme.

I also tore up half of a Woods PTO shaft cover. Similar mishap while bush hogging. No replacement parts available. PTO covers are not serviceable. I ended up buying a new PTO cover from ?Tractor Supply or some such outfit.
