If nature did it,then it's part of the natural order of things, no matter how much or how long.

It's a natural thing and that type of situation has happened since the beginning of time and will continue until the end of time.

Anything we do, even if it gives the same result, is still pollution, because it was caused artificially and not part of the natural scheme of things. We are affecting nature.

Using the strictest scientific definition, I believe I'm correct.

But if mankind is just another animal on the planet (like some believe) then anything we do is just nature too ......it is no different than a beaver deciding to flood a valley to sustain its family life.............we as man decide we need to burn carbon to sustain our lives................. so that arguement that assumes man is not nature has an interesting twist

Well one could say the pyramids are as natural as the beaver house '', he used sticks and mud, we used rock.....and manpower and eventually learned to build tractors to help build our houses and chip our woodpiles .......

the chipper does most likely as the wood will still rot and decay, if you remember HS science there is slow oxidation and rapid oxidation , both are oxidation one is fast and one is slow basically the end result is the same,

so if one burns, your not adding extra in the process, your just breaking it down in to smaller pieces, and then nature breaks it down slowly, when you burn one breaks it fast,
