three point fork lift mast?

yes I have forks for my loader,

but one can not see,
hard on the front axels, (at times impossible), (have considered a review type camera on the loader to see the forks).

has any one build a 3 point unit for the rear of the tractor to work like a real fork lift?

if so have pictures and how do you like it,

The guy I bought my tractor from was a roofer and had the mast from a forklift mounted on the rear. It was homemade but worked for him. Sorry no pics didn't need it so didn't buy it

There was a guy around here that was doing something like that on small case lawn tractors. It was designed to pick up trees at nurseries. I think he sold about a 20 of them.

Didn't build it, bought it at an auction 10 or 11 years ago. Sold it 4 years ago when I sold the tractor.

How big is ur tractor. My old neighbor has arOund 100hp. With 2 really heavy duty fork lift mast he custom fab forto hook to a 3pt. He used them so load and stack hay. At least till he got a skid steer

Messed up once where I worked we had 3 or 4 old FL that were going to scrap, I DID get the forks and frame for them off one of them and other maintenance guy said take whole mast & make 3pt with it. I said just wanted frame & forks for FEL use... :/ Ya never said I was all that smart lol

The rest of the mast & truck was dropped into dumpster for scrap steel.

One thing to be mindful of with those fork lift type 3pt mast set ups:
Check garage opening heights vs mast height when entering or leaving - same goes for low tree limbs.
I mention this after having witnessed someone in a hurry to load a truck, zipping out of the warehouse, lowering a pallet of cedar shakes grabbed from up on a storage rack, but not lowering them quite in fast enough. What a mess.

Chains allow for a shorter cylinder (moving the cylinder 1" moves the forks 2") which allows for multistage masts and cheaper cylinders (cheaper to use a thicker cylinder than to use a longer one).
Most forklifts have chains, not a direct connection to the cylinder.

Same reason (or opposite I suppose) you have multiple loops of chain/cable on a crane or chain pulley. It basically acts like a gear. Increased movement and speed at the cost of power or decreased movement & speed with more power.

Also not unlike your average extension ladder. It makes it easy to raise a boom really high above the mechanism raising it.

Unless it was a heavy metal doorframe, the mast was probably ok, the door frame and the pallet of cedar shakes, probably not so much.
