For the last two days we were told how big the hail would come with the storms so I convinced the wife to let me use her futon cushions to protect the lights on the tractor. 0428141626.jpg So here I sit at 3:30 am 29 April with no hail and a tractor is all dressed up with no place to go.0428141717.jpg I guess it is best to play it safe than sorry so below is how i dressed the tractor in flowers.0428141717a.jpg

A barn is way off into the future for us to store it, plus all attachments.

your excuse should be " we were just airing out the futon " and the tractor fit the bill perfectly ....

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Conversely, if your former indoor furniture is now your outdoor furniture, you might be a redneck!

Ohhh my gosh! I have to ROFL, but then again, just right there with you about trying to protect it! Great humility in sharing with us!

I have to say, you're a brave man showing that to us!

You can never be too careful. About 4 days ago, we had an un-forewarned hail storm that came out of nowhere, dropping some egg sized hail for just a few minutes. It would have done some damage to any sheet metal exposed to it. Then again 2 days ago was all kinds of severe storm warnings of large hail, severe storms, tornadoes etc and we barely got a few showers from it even as the folks 20 miles to the north and east got hit badly. The main force of this storm stayed east of I-30 and we are just 12 miles north of it. We were lucky in that but it just goes to show that the weatherman is not always right and you have to prepare for the worst and hope for the best when it comes to weather related issues.

Well, brave is one word we could use....

Tis one thing to say what he did but then he posted PHOTOS!:laughing::laughing::laughing:

Whichever word we should use to describe his actions, one thing is for sure, the OP better do whatever it takes to keep his wife!:D:D:D Not sure how many wife's would allow you to protect the tractor with HER furniture cushions!:laughing::laughing:

I think the OP owes her a decent dinner. :D:D:D

Later,
Dan

Man, that is funny! I am still wiping the tears out of my eyes. Of course it would look a little better if you had a nice little striped apron to put on her. I'm just thankful she is red instead of green though!
