Somehow jinman, you get your rain, and part of mine too, but I think I'll let it slide, this time! :D

Oh no! That's not true. You were only supposed to get 1/2" instead of 6/10". The extra 1/10" was what I sent you because I only got 1.9" instead of the 2" I ordered.

I hope everyone gets more as the rest of the storm moves through. I feel very lucky this morning to look out on a very wet garden, yard, and ponds that are really looking like ponds. What a great way to start the month of June. It must have got the critters going too. This morning when I went out to check my gage, I scared away two big does and one turkey hen from my feeder. The does didn't come back, but the hen was back in 10 minutes to finish her breakfast.

Something went swimming in my pool. All my animals are dry, but the frog pad was pulled from the side and there is a wet line going out of the pool by the ladder. HMMM? I wonder what the coyotes chased into the pool? I have the ladder at an angle, a ramp and a frog pad. Also the pool has a 3' dry moat around it, except by the ladder, so far there have beed no dead animals to fish out.

Oh! Well, in that case, Thank you kindly! :D

My bull was feeling his "Cheerios" this morning. Running and bucking like he is a small calf. Sure not turning my back on him today! Horses snorted for a couple of minutes, then went back to grazing.

Well got .47 and about that much sleep:laughing:. May have to try a nap this afternoon.

Weather says 80% this afternoon in Allen, I've sleeping, has anyone heard if the rain is supposed to "fire" back up? Radar shows almost nothing right now.

Hot and dry here. Started to cloud up at lunchtime, making my daily ride tolerable. Sun's back out and the temp has risen quickly to 97. Unless it builds back up again, I suspect we'll hit triple digits in the next hour.

We missed the big part of the storm. Two lines of rain moved through and we got 5/8 ths inch that we are very proud of. Lot's of thunder and lightning and only a little wind when the first storm line moved through.

This must be the season for fixin' stuff. My side-by-side GE refrigerator was not cooling well yesterday. My wife cleared some stuff out of the freezer for better airflow and overnight it cooled off and shut off. Today we'll make sure it is clean under the fridge. I have to keep my grandson from opening the door and then standing there in a trance while the inside heats up. Also, I got a drip below my sink and noticed the GE garbage disposal is leaking/dripping. I ordered new seals and will just keep a bowl under there to catch the drip until the seals come in. I couldn't believe the price of the seals. It's over $50 with shipping. GE is NOT gonna lose money on repair parts.

What a wonderfully cool night it was last night. I won't get used to this though. It will be in the high 90s (at least) by the end of next week. My garden is very happy and so am I since I don't have to water anything.

I've been picking lots of stuff out of my garden. We've picked two big messes of green beans. We also have picked about 8 nice yellow squash and two really pretty zucs along with snow peas and sugar snaps. Yesterday, I picked a dozen big ripe cherry tomatoes. So now I'm eating beans, squash, onions, and tomatoes out of my garden. I already have lots of 4" and 5" banana peppers growing, but still green. Last night for dinner I had a big plate of seasoned microwave steamed green beans with onions and microwave steamed buttered squash. The flavor of freshly picked veggies just can't be beat. By the time my bigger tomatoes ripen over the next week, I'll also have plenty of basil for sprinkling on freshly cut tomatoes. I can't wait.:licking:

Picked squash again this morning. I think I am going to make a squash casserole! Will make a meal on itself, and be yummy!

My basil is doing well too, and the rain has the sage, rosemary and the tarragon happy!

jinman; Why would you ruin perfectly good, fresh produce, by cooking it in the microwave?

Last night was Awesome, the cool weather kept me awake long enough to finish the job I got rained out on and get home:laughing: I nuked some frozen fattening burritos:D and passed out by 1:45am!! Thought it was going to rain yesterday evening ,so didn't get much sleep.

Got my parts for my plasma in from China:laughing: Took fore ever, but I hope they fix the problem, then I can get to trimming tin on my shop.

We got 7/8th of an inch. Just enough to soak in again, with no run off for my ponds. My rain went with Andrea to Florida also.
hugs, Brandi

You're making a casserole and asking me about ruining perfectly good fresh produce?:confused3:

:laughing::laughing: Everyone to their own thing. . . I have several little steamer microwave bowls with a rack. I put wine with a little soy sauce in the bottom bowl and then mix my green beans and onions in the top bowl (or buttered squash) after tossing them in a few drops of olive oil and garlic. I cover the dish and nuke them for about 5 minutes if they are beans and 4 minutes at most for squash slices. The veggies come out tasting spectacular. The green beans taste like they were stir fried and the squash is full of flavor. I don't have to break out my wok or have a big cleanup mess. I use the small amount of wine and soy sauce in the bottom over the veggies if I want or just salt and pepper to taste. My cooking dishes just rinse off under the faucet. I don't heat up the house with my stovetop. If that's ruining fresh veggies, then so be it. I love me some "ruined" veggies.:)

Yesterday I picked my first peppers.. six large mucho nacho hybrid pepper I got from Park seeds,, not hot but still an jalapeno,, anyway washed and sliced them in half, then stuffed them with sausage, cream cheese and wrapped in bacon,,
Took a table and a lawn chair out in the back yard, set up my grill and grilled them,, just as I finished it started to lighten, wind blowing 50mph, plus a hard rain,,
Nothing better than setting on the patio, eaten stuffed peppers, drinking a cold beer and watching your table and chair blow across the back yard.. life is good.:). Lou
