Hey, Guys. I'm thinking some one here has already solved this problem. I have an older L2600 I use for mowing. I bought it used with only 210 hours on it. Anyway, I'm a big guy and I need to figure out a way to move the entire seat mechanism back about 4 inches. I have it slammed all the way back now, and it just isn't enough. So, any idea's ?

Sure... look at the base. Unbolt it and check clearances, drill new homes in the seat bracket and mount it where it clears & gives you the space you want ... KennyV

I've got the big guy problem too. My seat was far enough back, but too low for comfort. Here's some pictures showing what I did.
While scrounging in the junk box for parts I came across some fat rubber grommets and added them to the project to cut the vibration. I think these grommets were originally used on some old Chevy PUs to isolate the cab from the frame. Works good. Don't over tighten the grommets. Use Loctite instead.

Thanks, Scotty. I hadn't considered the wood, and I like the grommets. I appreciate it.

The wood was just supposed to be a quick and easy way to see if the height was right.......that was almost 5 years ago...good thing we oiled that wood.. :)
