3-Point Hitch Broken three point hitch

:confused2:I just got a 284 IH and lifted the draw bar up and know it is stuck and will not lower . Can anyone tell me how to fix this I never had anything like this happen to any of my other tractors.

I'd assume you mean you lifted the three point. Your tractor should have a knob that turns to adjust the rate at which your three point lowers. If it is turned all the way it will not lower without enough weight on it.

I tried that but it didn't work it almost seems like a metal rod is stopping it . I was told the unit might be off center and I know have to lift the hole seat cover off and I will see the problem

Does it have a draft control? If so, make sure the draft lever is in the down position.
