I was looking at one of the new uniweld 18 inch straight torches, but I always prefer old stuff, so I think I will try and find one of those old aircos.

If the seller of the first airco shipped to canada, I would buy it. Even that second one is a lot cheeper then a new one local, and looks to be a better torch. (better then the new local one, not the old airco)

What would you say is a fair price for an airco straight torch, brass head? I have found one for $100, looks to be in quite good shape. Wondering if that is too high.

Pics would help, but it looks like everything in Canada is about 75 percent more expensive than in the US.

You won't get hurt at a hundred bucks in terms of using the thing. It will likely outlive you brass or not.

$100, might be able to get it for a bit less, it also has $36 shipping. It looks fairly good to me, but I dont know much about torches.

Thanks for bringing this up, Ive been guilty of putting down propane cutting myself. I worked for a man thay used it and used Acetylene for the rosebud set ups bending goosenecks. I started using propane in my tracer torch one weekend I ran out of gas and had a propane tip. I found out if I backed the head off on my preheat that it cut super good. Ive cut up to 4 inch on it right now didnt have anything thicker to cut with.

That torch is older than I am. But I'm only 72. May be a good museum piece. :laughing:

I have 4 Victor #2460 cutting heads on 100FC handles. Make me an offer on 1 of them. I will hook it up and make sure its working well before shipping.

Propane cutting tips are less than $20. List on the setup if $549 - sale on inter net $335.90. Of course that is brand new.

Thanks for the offer, but I am really looking for a straight torch. I already have a new air liquide torch handle and cutting head. I think the reason shipping was so high was that it was getting shipped into canada. Ups always charges an insain amount to canada.
